[It's Peter, bright and cheerful and clearly with a morgue behind him.]

Hey assholes, I'm back! Did you miss me? Of course, you did. Norfinbury was like, the most boring place ever without me, right?

Weirdly enough, it's been awhile? What's been happening?

Anyway, I've been thinking. Suddenly it's all really clear to me now? You know ol' Blue had a really good idea back then and I'm thinkin' I should probably start doing that. Except like, instead of thinking small, let's think big!

I claim all of it? Everything. All of that there? The whole town? [He waves his hand in a vague circle.] That's mine.

I know the whole territory thing didn't go over so well last time but come on, that was like, forever ago. Everybody's been beat down enough that you gotta have stopped like, caring so much by now? At least the smart people should've. We're all gonna die here anyway. I mean, not me, cause clearly I keep coming back.

You pay tribute to me for safe passage, use of resources, food, supplies, songs, y'know, the usual.

Oh hey, I'll take death videos too!

[As usual, Stephen doesn't show his face on the network. He sounds tired, but that isn't new, either.]

Good evening, Norfinbury.

As most of you will recall, two months ago we were able to contact the...remnants of the former residents of Norfinbury and of the people subjected to former sessions. We discovered that they had become a kind of digital hive mind; they were interested in helping us, though they were limited in the ways in which they could interact with us. Since then, particularly since we located Andromeda's body, the town has been going quiet--you may have noticed the feeling of emptiness in many of the houses, particularly those that formerly may have seemed to be haunted.

I propose that we attempt contact again. It's possible that the data ghosts are...dead...but if there's still some remnant of them residing in the recesses of the network I'd like to re-establish that contact, ask their advice, ask whether they have any additional assistance they can offer us at this time...and ask whether they have any final wishes we can still carry out on their behalf.

The seance will take place in three nights' time, on the evening of day three hundred and ninety-five. I have...some experience in spiritual matters, and can provide guidance for anyone who is unsure how to open themselves to that form of communication. Those who volunteer should be aware that the process was...unpleasant for some of us. You may have an out of body experience or undergo an upsetting vision. Those who participated before can share more details if you are concerned, but as far as I'm aware no one was injured in the last attempt.

...And thank you, in advance.

[The OOC post can be found here.]

We have obtained a...

[Ecks glances offscreen, like she's trying to remember something.]

Cable.

[She holds up what looks like a data cable meant for plugging into a tablet. One end terminates in an intact plug; the other end shows ragged ends of bare wires that look like they were cut with a saw.]

It is from the room with many computers. It was from the wall. It did not react when we plugged the tablets into it so we cut it off of the wall and now we have it for using with a computer elsewhere.

Is it good?

[ It takes several false starts before Wilson finally gets the message out. He's forgoing voice and video in favor of text. It's easier that way, if only marginally. He didn't need this to remind him that life here (if it can be called that) sucks, but it's been thrown into sharper relief now. ]

Hey, in case anyone wanted to know: House is dead.

An anomaly got him.

[ He's not really sugar-coating it, because how do you sugarcoat something like this? Even his best bedside manner and talent for knowing just how to deliver the worst news isn't really any use here. ]

I just thought you might want to know.

[ Maybe a more general "you", since he's quite aware of the public feeling House stirs up. But he said what he wanted to say, so that's that.

He figures he might as well try to say something else not related to House's demise, though, so he asks a question that he feels might be largely pointless in the long run: ]

Other than that, how are you all holding up?

[ Of course, he's certain the answer is "not well", but old habits die hard, and he still does genuinely want to check in with them. ]

[When Quark wakes up, his first thoughts revolve around actions and actions alone: get out of the bodybag, get off the table, figure out where he is, when it is, what time it is. All of these things are easy. He has no apparently-physical losses from revival, which he figures is a good sign. It looks like it's only been about two days, which isn't bad, either. It's already after lockdown, so he has some time to regroup. Messages from his grandpa--he should definitely get those soon, when he's finished checking what else he's missed.

And then he sees Kesara's name on the morning's obituary, and everything that he should be doing, everything logical and rational, flies somewhere far away.

What's the point? What's ever been the point?

He has the urge to throw his tablet and finds he can't squash it. He has the urge to kick the furniture and bang on the walls and he can't stop himself.

When Quark picks his tablet back up again, he sticks to text when he comes back to the network.]

im alive again
does anyone have any stupid or dangerous suggestions?

[He knows it isn't a good idea, but, again, he can't stop himself. It's what he wants to say, so he just says it.]

[The audio comes out somewhat breathless; clearly Nathan's walking around in the snow while he sends this out.]

Alright, so here's brain twister: if Robert Miller dies in the snow but no one is around to hear it, does he even make a sound?

[Yeah, that's it. He's just looking for company.]

[ Soon after this happens mid-morning, a text appears on the network. Gotta clear up any confusion as soon as possible! Even if Angel herself isn't in the talkiest of moods. ]

Hey, um, me again with more app-related updates
Did everyone get the galaxy key thing on their tablets just before? Or was distribution limited to the people I'm with??
I assume everyone got it, it'd seem kinda dumb for people *not* to, but. Norfinbury, am I right? :V
Anyway, that seems to be the end result of decrypting the file left by Andromeda, so
I'm assuming it'll unlock the bunker. Probably. I hope.
Anyone who heads out that way to check: PLEASE be careful!! For all we know that could be where Miller is hiding. Or it could contain unstable equipment or volatile chemicals or
idk spiders??
My point being stay safe! And keep everyone informed of what you find ♥

Hello. I believe this may be my first communique, so allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Hannibal Lecter. I am a psychiatrist with deep and extensive experience working with victims of trauma. Many of those I have treated over the years had suffered terrible things, and found themselves unable to fully remember what had been done to them. In the interest of helping them find peace and closure, and to be better able to hold accountable those who had victimized them, I have used hypnosis to help bring those repressed memories to the surface.

Those of us who were recently taken into the cells have endured a terrible trauma, and few of us remember clearly what we experienced, and some not at all. I therefore propose to attempt hypnosis to help better understand what it is that occurred. I am in particular thinking of those who were marked with red lines, for their memory loss seems particularly profound. There may be answers for you, and I would like to help bring them to light.

If anyone would be so kind as to volunteer to be hypnotized, please contact me so that we may arrange to meet.

Thank you.

[While the format's a video, Junpei isn't on screen. He doesn't intend to be, either. All he's recording is part of the building he's in-- recognizable as one of the convenience stores. That's not the focus, of course. For now, his voice is.]

Hey.

Anyone else think that whole instant tattoo removal seemed like some sorta cover-up?

I mean, don't get me wrong-- even though I'm pretty sure red's my colour, I don't miss the look at all. It's just.. the timing? Getting rid of whatever that was when Miller wanted to use it and the admin couldn't see it? There's no way that's not suspicious.

So, I'm gonna keep this short and get right to the point. I need five people to meet me in Zone Two in a few days. And one of you should probably.. know how to draw blood...

[The point of recording like this soon becomes apparent, as he props a notepad up in front of the screen. Maybe he could've made it a text attachment instead, but, well, he didn't. There's a list written on it, as follows:
1. No lines, no light -- @magenta2?
2. Lines only, no light -- @beyonce?
3. Red eyes, no light
4. No lines, with light
5. Lines only, with light
6. Red eyes, with light

... He'll just leave it there.
]

I'm sure nobody's gonna have a problem going by memory? House already volunteered a couple of you, but it's fine if you'd rather be a baby and skip out.

[... After all, he's already ignored one of the suggestions, himself, by refusing to put Quark up to it...]

At least listen to what we're gonna do, alright?

Back when we got who knows what pumped into us down there, I was thinking, what if that wasn't just drugs? The goal was to "fix" us, so what if we were given more nanomachines? Maybe with new programming, to fix an imbalance. Or, you know, cause one. What I wanna see is if the concentration's different between those of us who had the markings, and those who didn't. Hey, maybe even throw in someone who never got brought down. And while we're at it, we may as well see if our lights make any difference, too.

Who's in?
