[ Gamora waits until Peter and Flynn are both asleep to reach out to Stephen. Peter wouldn't want her to, and she doesn't feel like putting Flynn in a position where he has to either lie to his friend or get his ass kicked by her. This is easiest.

It also means the least chance of a headache for her.
