which means he was dead. past-tense. it doesn't make any more sense now that it's happened to him than it did before. on the plus side, he knows where he is, and vaguely what's going on.
it still sucks.
first things first: he's getting the fuck out of the morgue. he remembers the rest of the hospital from before, which helps a little, and at least it's mostly clean. once he's upstairs and no longer surrounded by dead people (a feeling he knows all too well), he'll finally announce his presence on the network. ]

figuring out how the tablet works isn't the worst part. francel is not an engineer like his brother, nor does he have any special interest in allagan technologies, but he's seen the garleans round monument tower operate similar devices, and it's easy enough to navigate the network and other functions. the sheer amount of text in the survival guide isn't that bad either; francel reads quickly, has always read quickly, and really, it's a skill he's never had any good use for at all in his life.
no — it's the absurdity of the situation itself that really gets to the poor young elezen lord, and it's on his fourth (perhaps fifth) reread of alphonse's compiled information that he really decides to just give up. and typing is a chore, but he manages it in the end, very slowly.]

Fortunately the majority of advice is all good stuff - move often, ration what you have, bundle up, etc etc - but there's one tidbit in particular that she isn't particularly fond of heeding. ]
