[network] @ADMIN; Arrival
Welcome to Norfinbury. The time is E̛̬̞͖͖̫R҉͖̯̬R̼̻͉̰͎̳̙O̩͓͔̫͇͈̯R and the date is E̛̬̞͖͖̫R҉͖̯̬R̼̻͉̰͎̳̙O̩͓͔̫͇͈̯R. This network has been provided for your use. Please interact politely with everyone else on this network.

[Kunsel would be one hell of a hypocrite if he took issue with Tony asking for more information.]
Are you looking to volunteer your assistance? Or did you mean something else?
no subject
[It's just what he's used to.]
But, yes, I wouldn't mind volunteering. It sounds like that's really what's needed, honestly.
no subject
Our method so far has mostly boiled down to those closest and/or most capable responding whenever something comes up. If it turns into a man hunt, we do our organization on the network, under a filter, since gathering in person isn't always feasible or a good idea. If you're interested in helping, just respond when a call for help goes out.
Beyond that, you can always ask Al, username at-lelric, to add your name to the guide along with whatever you specialize in.
no subject
I guess I'll keep in touch with him, then. Hopefully I won't need to worry about anything too serious, but I don't mind responding to calls. That I'm familiar enough with.

Military?
[Kunsel's voice is curious. It's not the only possible explanation, but it seems the most likely. A large percentage of the people Norfinbury's collected seem to have some military experience.]
no subject
Independent. We work on peacekeeping and emergency response where the local law enforcement may need help. It's always good to have the extra hands around.
[He answers honestly enough, although he doesn't mention the spy part or SHIELD's name. He does try to keep up some of the policies, even if he's a terrible spy.]

[Kunsel makes a noise of understanding. The concept's not unfamiliar.]
More of a secondary support role than a primary? I've done a bit of both, though I'm more on the primary end. [And because he doesn't see any reason to hide it now-] SOLDIER Second Class.

[Although he does appreciate that Kunsel is making sense to him. The group might be new to Tony, but the way he's talking isn't. That makes things much easier. He wasn't sure what kind of people he would be able to reach.]
no subject
[He pauses, then, giving the man a chance to react - or not - to the idea of other worlds. That's one of those things that a lot of people havea hard time swallowing. He'd certainly had to take some time to adjust.]
no subject
[That's probably meant to be a joke.]
I'm from Earth. North America is the continent, although I tend to do a fair amount of traveling to other places.
[He takes the whole idea of multiple dimensions in stride. It's not like he doesn't know about the possibility. He's not as knowledgeable as others, but he understands the basics.]
What's the best way to handle the weather? Any advice for not freezing to death aside from never going outside?
no subject
I can practically hear the capitals in those words.
[Yeah, he gets the joke.
And huh, seems like Tony's not too surprised about the existence of other worlds. Kunsel files that away as something to note. At least he won't have to worry about convincing the guy that this is all very real.]
Never going outside won't work very well anyway. This place will drive you crazy if you stay in one place for more than a few days - and I mean that very literally. If you don't want to move around, find two houses next to each other and alternate where you sleep each night. That seems to be enough to stave off the effects. Otherwise, use whatever you can for insulation. Clothes would be best, but blankets, curtains, fabric torn from a couch - whatever you can find is better than nothing. Try to keep dry, too. That's important.
Here, I'll send you something I wrote up on this a few months back.
[Here, Tony, have yet another guide.]
no subject
[Maybe suggesting his naming skills are also not the best, or maybe subtly affiliating with one of the groups he mentioned. He leaves that to Kunsel to decide. But he doesn't even try to play off that he knows about multiple universes. This is all second nature to him now.]
Thanks for the extra tips. You've got good advice. There's a lot going on here, and every extra voice matters. Even on things as simple as survival. And I'll be the first to admit I'm not as experienced in this kind of field work as other people.
no subject
But that's a note for the future. For now it's enough just to make sure Tony's as set as he can be.]
Thanks. I'm not necessarily the highest expert either, but I've had some experience. Feel free to call me if you have any questions, or if there's anything you think I can help with. I'm Kunsel.
[Tony probably already picked that up, but it doesn't hurt to bother with an introduction.]
no subject
Call me Tony. Thank you, by the way. Did I thank you? This has all gone by so quickly it's hard to keep track.
[And he feels like he's not thanking people enough. Probably.]
no subject
You did, but it's alright. It is a little hard to keep track of everything, especially when you're overwhelmed. My suggestion? Take some time tonight to just sit and read through everything again, then check in with someone if you still have questions.
But you're welcome, and I'm glad to assist.
no subject
It's always good to follow a good example. I'll think all of this over. And repay the favor, if I can.
no subject
Alright. Good luck, then.
Kunsel out.
