Rydia
Waking up in the Morgue )

[OPEN : TO EVERYONE]

[When Rydia turns on the camera of her tablet she seems... okay. Which is the best she can manage for the day.]

Uhn... hello?  [Beckett and Steve probably already warned the others about not sleeping in morgues or other dangerous places, but...]  This is Rydia, I'm contacting you from the Ice Caves. You probably already know that but- while you can survive sleeping in safe areas of a place that pushes us away at night... it's not the same for the morgue in the funeral house. I am not sure what happens in the shops or if it's the same in other morgues but- there's nothing to see. Nothing I could explain, at least, it was an... unpleasant experience and there's no reason for anyone to do the same. Please, trust me.

Oh... my apologies about this stupid question but  does anyone know if there's a safe place to sleep around the hospital?

Steve Rogers
[Steve is looking pretty haggard (and suspiciously like he's been crying a little); but, having heard from Rydia, a little bit of light has come back to his eyes. Still looking pretty shitty though. He has a grave expression on his face.]

Good evening, Norfinbury. I have some urgent information that you should all be aware of, for your safety.

You are probably aware that some buildings—the school, the convenience store, the funeral home, the chapel, the morgue of the hospital—compel you to leave them in the evening. People have died this way. It has been discovered that you can survive a night in the funeral home, at least, if you restrain yourself so that you are physically unable to leave; it's deeply unpleasant, you are liable to hurt yourself, and you will of course still be stuck there in the morning, so it's not recommended except as an emergency measure.

If you find yourself forced to do so—do not, do not restrain yourself in one of the morgues. Within the past few days Rydia and Dr. House both attempted to do so, in the funeral home and hospital morgues, respectively. They did not survive the experience. Rydia's experience was—ugly. She's back with us now, thank God; we don't know yet if Dr. House will be as lucky.

Do not. Attempt to stay. In any of the morgues.

...On another subject... one of the things that came up at the town hall meeting—and that's another thing, actually, if you're not already aware, do not assemble in large groups. Groups of ten-ish or smaller seem to be fine, but our crowd of twenty or so attracted a swarm of monsters, and not all of us survived that.

[He clears his throat.]

...One of the things that came up at the meeting, though, was the idea of numbering the houses and providing information about how to get to resources. I suggest we make use of the map Dr. House put together, which is to my knowledge the most complete map we have of the place and has an orderly numbering system for the buildings. I will attach the map to this message for anyone who doesn't have it. I've marked the wall where it's visible from the entrance, like so—

[He turns the tablet to the wall, where the tablet dimly illuminates what he has written and drawn in blue ink: "This is Building 31 on the composite map. Contact @CaptSteveRogers for details." Underneath this he has drawn a pretty damn accurate map showing house 24 in relation to the west snow wall, the funeral home, the park, houses 28, 31, 34, and 35, and the school and athletic shed. The funeral home is labeled "UNSAFE, DO NOT STAY HERE OVERNIGHT". House 34 is labeled "Medical assistance; hot, clean water. Contact Dr. Epps @claytonator". The school is labeled "School. Food available in cafeteria; DO NOT STAY HERE OVERNIGHT." The shed is labeled "Shed". The park is labeled "Park". The snow wall is labeled "Snow wall".]

I will plan to do this in every house I encounter from here on out. I invite everyone to do the same.

...That's it for tonight. Please, please stay safe, Norfinbury.

((Attached is a link to House's map, I believe is an IC representation of the open-source map.

FYI, all numbers in the description of Steve's wall map except for the initial "31" are the OOC labels from the game map, not the IC labels on House's map. So confusing. @_@))
