[The video opens to show Jay in an room completely empty of furniture, glancing nervously behind him before facing the camera. He's out of breath and red-faced from exertion.]
Uh, hey. We- Tim and I, we ran into one of those, uh. Monster shadow things? I dunno what to call it, but-
[There's a loud THUMP from somewhere and he flinches, casting another nervous glance back. While he speaks, the sound is repeated several times, each time getting the same reaction from him.]
It's- it's still out there, but I don't think it's getting in. Tim's going upstairs to see if he can scare it off or something, so. I'm just gonna show the footage I got.
[The feed cuts to what is obviously a recording from earlier: it shows a typical snow-covered Norfinbury street, the camera shaking slightly with the rhythm of footsteps. Suddenly, the video starts distorting as if something's pulling at it from the edges, and a figure appears in a doorway, lunging forward. It's hard to see clearly through the distortion, but it's vaguely humanoid despite running on four legs. Tim's voice can be heard from off-camera, yelling "RUN!" before Jay obviously does just that, the video swinging wildly for a few moments before cutting away and returning the view to Jay in the present moment.]
So, uh. That was a thing. I think it's gone now, it hasn't been ramming the door anymore, so-
[He's cut off by a new noise, a loud rattling clearly coming from upstairs. Jay looks up and makes a grab for the tablet, but pauses as the sound stops. He stays still for a few seconds, listening, before letting out a relieved breath.]
Okay, now it's gone. So as I was saying, I wanted to share a couple of things we found a week or so ago. There was an SD card with a video on it- I'm, uh, not gonna show it 'cause it was kind of graphic, but. Basically it showed a woman who was covered in glass from a broken window, I think maybe 'cause she'd jumped through it or something? Don't know if it's really relevant.
[He pauses again- the thumping from earlier has resumed, and someone can be heard hurrying down a staircase. He looks off to the side, calling out.]
Hey, what's- What's funny?
[Sure enough, Tim can be heard laughing hard, almost hysterically, offscreen. Jay gives the camera a confused look before turning it off.]
