[No text today! Instead, the viewers of Norfinbury get a video showing a weird orange bird guy filmed from inside a house. In addition to the shades, behind which a faint orange glow is visible, he's got on the standard peacoat people receive here. It's the same violent shade of orange as the rest of him.]

Hey. A bunch of you already know by now, but the name's Davesprite, and I'm this thing called a sprite and I'm part crow.

[He caws demonstratively.]

But I'm posting this because House and I just did some experiments about the whole nonhuman thing yesterday. See, some people were positing that maybe I only look weird because of distorted perceptions and junk, so we wanted to test basically if I'm the way I should be or not.

Thing one, I've got a hole through the middle of my chest where my sword used to go, because sprites are weird. Don't worry about it. Watson told me how normal objects found here go right through anomalies, but stuff coated in rubble dust hits them. So he and Sherlock wanted me to try to stick some rubble in my sword hole. Spoilers, it worked.

Thing two, my blood's bright yellow like somebody cracked a glowstick open, and it doesn't look like a human's under a microscope. Since the admin said my bloodtype's been "adjusted", House wanted to inject some of it into himself to see if he could. And that worked too.

If you want to go and lecture us about how that was dangerous and stupid and we could have gotten ourselves killed: Yeah, I know, but too late. Sometimes you gotta be stupid to get science done. And now we've confirmed that looking nonhuman is still real and not just some illusion cast on our senses via the nanomachines, and that regular humans can accept "adjusted" blood with the right type.

Thing three's got nothing to do with the experiments, but House wanted me to share that he found an SD card back on day 183 with Andromeda and Winter talking some more. If you saw the post I made about the card I found a while back, the one where they were talking about the cult? It sounds like this one relates to that.

[Here at the end Davesprite links a few files. First are video recordings of him and House performing the experiments described above. His blood in the relevant experiment is indeed a yellow as he said and slightly luminescent. Along with this he includes a couple photos of his blood taken under a microscope. The blood cells aren't human or avian, but a shape that looks somewhere between both.]

I dunno? It's kinda nebulous. "Regulated." There's a bunch of ways we're regulated, and I thought the natives were pretty normal compared to us.

I dunno. We're still in the dark about what the cult was even about, aside from like, the obvious anti-AI sentiment going through. Sam saw something, she's the prophet, but who decided that and what she saw and what it all means...

[He shrugs with shoulders and wings alike.]

Could be the people in charge, could be something else. Maybe we'll find out more later.

But hey, where are you guys? I want to head that way now that this stuff with House is done.

Goodness, I would have thought a simple agglutination test would have been a better start than straight injection. Though, I suppose with such limited resources, a simple clean slide of glass would have been difficult to find.

I didn't coat anything in rubble, it was more... Let me explain it.

So I've got this wooden spoon I found weeks ago, right? I can stick the handle in my sword hole just fine. That's how I first tested it was still there. Good for freaking people out.

But I got to talking to Watson and Sherlock, right? They were speculating that, like, maybe the hole only looked like it was there because of nanomachines altering perceptions and junk. Watson said something about an umbrella going straight through an anomaly, but something coated in rubble hit it.

[He did say that already, but he's explaining again to lead a clear a to b path for his reasoning.]

So when I talked to House later, the idea of testing this stuff came up, and I met up with him. I collected some screws and nails out of the rubble, then wrapped them up with some packing tape he had to make a kind of long string of them. That way they wouldn't get lost if they did go in. And, yeah, they did, just like the spoon handle.

So what I'm saying is, that pretty much means the hole in my chest is actually there and not nanomachines messing with my eyes.

Honestly, I don't really know or care how it got adjusted. The important thing to me is we know it being adjusted means it's compatible.

[And that in combination with the other experiment, it probably means a real adjustment, not just regular blood that's been faked to look weird in their perceptions. But he doesn't say that part.]

One question: have you examined House's blood since the transfusion? Does it seem to share any of the non-human qualities of yours? I'm just wondering if the two effects have mixed or if the blood has conformed to House's.

Nah, we haven't, and the microscope's all the way over at the hospital. He didn't put in a huge amount so I doubt he's gonna start bleeding orange if we cut him, though.
