[log] Event: Lavender's Green, Part Two [open]
Characters: everyone
Location: mysterious, white hallways
Date: Day 193-194
Summary: Find friends. Get lost. Don't look.
Warnings: Potential for gore and psychological horror. Please note any specific warnings in your subject lines!
While confusingly similar, the area is split into a few different sections:
The Core
The hallways here are narrow and twist at a rapid rate. With how dazzlingly white everything is, it's easy to not realize you're coming on a turn and slam right into the walls. There are no rooms here--no one starts here, though they may find it while they wander. At the center is a large, round area, like the center of a spiral. There's a lot of air pressure here.
The Inner Hallways
The largest area, filled with dead ends, gentle slopes and twists, and, occasionally, difficult-to-see drops where a higher hallway intersects with a lower one without a wall to separate them. The whole place tastes vaguely like blood. Most rooms are here--most people start here.
The Outer Hallways
The outer ring of the ball of yarn. It's not as thick with halls and twists as the other two areas, leading to a lot more boring walking in one direction. It's totally possible to circle around the same path multiple times without realizing it, as everything is so similar here. Occasionally, footsteps can be heard just outside the farthest walls. Sometimes, something breathes. There are a few rooms here--some people will start here.
Remember to note what kind of eyes your character has in their top level!

She went for my throat. I didn't want to wait around and see if she came to her senses.
no subject
[She knows there are probably others who wouldn't have been as kind. If she was without a way to incapacitate this child, she most likely would have done the same as Cassel. She sighs.]
I hope she's the only one who's acting in that way.
no subject
[He stays quiet for a moment, running his bare hand along the wall as they walk.]
Why do you think they're doing this?
no subject
[She's fairly certain it is, but she wants to be certain. It gives her a moment to mull over her answer, too, and what she comes down to is that their motives don't matter when compared to the suffering they've caused everyone.]
no subject
[He pauses, marking the wall again.]
I don't know. Maybe whoever brought us here isn't in charge of what's happening to us right now.
no subject
[She pauses for a moment to reach into her backpack, pulling out the water she was given and taking a few sips.]
Who do you think might be, ah, in charge of what is happening to us now?
no subject
Did you see those notes House posted about the dreams people were having before we showed up?
no subject
[She glances at his hand for a moment, though.]
Do you want me to do that for a while instead?
no subject
There's no point in two of us bleeding.
[A little stinging never killed anyone.]
A bunch of people had dreams about the original residents, I guess. A lot of it was pretty weird, but someone ran into the Prophet, and she said the Admin is trapped. It sounds like all of them are trapped, though, and maybe the Admin isn't actually in control.
no subject
[It doesn't even count to her, honestly.]
Trapped by what, I wonder... Well, whatever the source, we'll certainly find out why they've done this to all of us and make them pay accordingly.
[It's said pretty casually, but her expression tightens a bit as she says it. It's gone in an instant.]
no subject
That would be nice, huh? Something to look forward to.
no subject
[From her perspective, it's a perfectly normal thing for her to say, so his surprise throws her a bit in turn.]
They have a great deal to answer for, in any case.

[Children have been brought here, put in this place and these situations. It crosses the firmest line she has (even if some of them are apparently cannibals).]
no subject
No, you're right. Let's go find someone's ass to kick.
no subject
[Apparently murder is okay, but swearing is a big no. Go figure.
And then, without hesitation, she brings one of her hands to her other, digging her nails into her palm until beads of blood start to break through.]
Your finger could get infected, we don't know what that wall is made of.
no subject
[He's still smiling despite the scolding, but he sighs when she digs her fingernails into her palm.]
Did anyone ever tell you you're really stubborn?
no subject
[She smears some of the blood onto her fingers, stepping around him to mark one of the walls.]
I suspect I could say the same of you, as it were.
no subject
[He's back to teasing again, which is something.]
no subject
[It's as close to joking as she'll get. Another streak of blood goes on the walls.]
no subject
[Cassel looks a little delighted, though.]
Is that court etiquette, Adelina?
no subject
[Imagine how awkward it's going to be once they have to huddle for warmth. She does smile, though, despite herself.]
What is that expression for?
no subject
Nothing. I'm glad you're not as nice as I thought.
no subject
[She doesn't sound offended, though. She does wonder, however...]
If that were true, why would it make you glad?
no subject
It means you're not going to put up with people fu—messing with you. It's good.
