[network; video] @MarbleHornets; ERROR [day 006]
There's a horrific metallic screech, with a video displaying only the floor of the elementary school for a few moments. Then, it rises, showing a much more intact school than the current travelers would be used to.. Two unknown people are speaking, both women.
"Are you seeing that?"
"No I--wait, yes. What are those?"
"Get it on video, quick."
The display jerks down another hallway. None of the lights are on; the only point of light is the distant illumination of the other end of the hallway, where the lights still work. Shadows seem to shift and twitch--no, shadows are shifting and twitching. Darker than the gloomy surroundings, humanoid shadows can be seen. They're twitching and wandering aimlessly in the middle of the hallway.
Once the camera really focuses on them, though, their heads all turn at once to face it. And, with torn apart voices, they begin to scream.
The video ends.

really though it's not like jay can deny that tim is amazingly cool compared to him]
So basically you're calling me a nerd.
[Not that he isn't. He's a huge nerd.]
action;
I bet you had mittens sewn to your jacket back in school. And took a sack lunch just so the big kids wouldn't take your lunch money.
action;
Wrong on both counts, actually. And no, I didn't get bullied for being bad at sports or whatever.
action;
[ If he weren't horribly sick and cold and still wigged out, he might laugh. ALAS. ]
Does that mean I'm going to get my head flushed down a toilet if I keep calling you a nerd?
action;
Y'know, this might come as a shocking revelation to you, but not all the kids at school are either nerds or jocks.
action;
[ THE HORROR. ]
Next you'll be telling me - I dunno. That you never saw a kid get shoved in a locker.
action;
I never saw a kid get shoved in a locker.
action;
[ He covers his face in mock horror. Wait no I mean genuine terror and devastation thus far unknown to mankind. ]
My entire life is a lie.
action;
[THIS IS STUPID.]
action;
[ So serious. So heartfelt. ]
It's just a lot to take in in one day, you know? This and - and everything else.
[ Wait that's not a funny subject abort abORT ]
action;
[TOO LATE THE FUNNIES HAVE BEEN ANNIHILATED]
I guess it is.
action;
TIM THINKS SO. Man look at all this sports equipment here. These balls. Imagine four of them on the edge of a cliff! Wow. ]
action;
So, like. Were you nerdy as a k- [wait shit no] I mean, uh. Never mind.
[WOW GOOD JOB MAKING THINGS LESS AWKWARD MERRICK A PLUS FUCKING PLUS]
action;
Well... I had glasses. Pretty nerdy ones, so...
[ He can be casual about this. Yeah. Jay already knows about what happened to him, so it's not like he has to be ashamed or anything. ]
And the, uh. The screaming fits, they didn't exactly make me the coolest kid around when all that started.
action;
[There are moments when even Jay recognises just how much of an idiot he can be.]
action;
[ The joke is that Jay is a dumb!!! ]
It's fine, I mean. If you slip up with that sorta stuff, it means I'm doing a good job of, you know... passing for a guy who went to school.
Re: action;
[He still feels kind of bad for it, though. he really should know better.]
I'm just still kinda shaken up from this whole thing.
action;
[ SIGH. How to even finish that sentence? ]
It makes you think about stuff. What might have happened to Brian and the others, or how we could end up. You know?
action;
...Yeah. Not really the kind of stuff I want to think about.
action;
[ He might not believe it, but. Being a good liar has its advantages. Tim sounds like he believes it, if nothing else. ]
We're basically pros at this by now, so. Trust me.
action;
Okay. I guess we'll just keep going. Not like there's much else we can do, anyway.
We should try to see if we can find more of those cards. Figure out what happened here.

action;
[He probably isn't, but hey, gotta have some optimism.]
