Because golems are like portable telephones and can track you. Like this thing, I guess? [ ????

Man what golems do you come across because his is just a worrywart. Which reminds him he's looking for that tiny black ball so he can turn it off. Gdit where did it go when he passed o—oh it's hiding in his coat well that's great. ]

Golems are nothing like phones, what-...

[And his frazzled brain finally catches up with logic.]

...We must have very different ideas that happen to have the same name in our worlds.

[Which means Captain Obvious has arrived.]

Probably, yeah.

[ Though, wait. Worlds????? ]

What do you mean, 'our worlds?' [ That's okay, he can be pretty damn dense when he wants to be. ]

Ah, it's...hard to explain. It's as if our homes are likely from...entirely different realities?

I'm sorry, I truly have no idea how to describe it. But other worlds may have different people, different rules, and even different means of creation.

[ It was hard to explain, even if Kanda can get the jist of the concept. He just doesn't know why. Not to mention, this is completely ruining his plans of watching the damned beansprout. ]

Great. Just great. I'm assuming we're also stuck here?
warriorscribe: (Seed of turmoil)

[personal profile] warriorscribe 2016-01-29 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
Precisely. There are those of us who have been here over two months, and we have not yet found a way out.

[They're trying, though! And by "they", he means "not him". He's grown too protective of the person he's traveling with.]

As one of them, I do know a few things about the way this town behaves, if you have any questions that haven't been answered yet.

Two months. [ He's letting that sit there for a moment, just churning in his head. Well, from the sounds of it, he's not giing back to either the Order or Allen anytime soon. ] Is there a reason why?

[ He saw something about information, he thinks, but seeing as how he's rather unsure about working this damn thing.... Yeah that wasn't happening. ] How this town behaves?
warriorscribe: (How does this work...)

[personal profile] warriorscribe 2016-02-02 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
No, nobody knows why. It's one of the things that makes this town so strange. Another is...for one, the doors and windows lock themselves every night. There's no getting in or out of buildings once that happens.

[Best to start with the neutral information first. Things like the anomalies and the...well, episodes of sickness or madness or whatever-is-going-on can come once the life-and-death questions are answered.]

[ Well, he's certainly hasn't heard of buildings just locking themselves before. Not unless there was outside manipulation involved, that is. ] The buildings lock themselves. No one's ever checked for anything on the buildings themselves that could remotely do that?

People more knowledgeable than I have. They found nothing. This place is strange to all who have encountered it, so far.

[Some people have seen things like some of the elements of this place, but none of this is familiar in its entirety to everyone. Very curious.]

...The doors, so long as they lead outside, do not need their hinges to remain standing, somehow.
beanstalk: (♠ smart ass「Glory,glory,hallelujah!」)

[personal profile] beanstalk 2016-02-13 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
...Doors that don't need hinges make no sense. At all.

[There's a bit of a startled pause. He's gotten so used to accepting that the supposedly-impossible exists that revisiting this fact didn't faze him like it did when he first learned it.]

...Indeed. It's true, though, even if I couldn't tell you how it's possible. The one who took it off its hinges guessed it was..."magnetism"? But why the hinges if they aren't needed in the first place? This place's entire existence is a puzzle, it seems.
