Oh, please, you know that would never happen. And I'm not talking just as the pacifist I am, I'm also considering the point of view of... more aggressive people.

[she chuckled] think about this, Jack, would you really kill your, I don't know, nemesis in a world where it may return in life, eventually stalk you and stab you in the back without even announcing he's back to life on the network?

See, that's one thing to consider. Another is that I'd get to kill them more than once and that would totally be worth the risk.

It's a nice thought, but I'm pretty sure you're the only here who feels that way. Your buddies were more than happy to spend their energy on fighting.

There are many things I could say right now but I don't really want to make things even worse. But, honestly? I think the fault was on both parts and this whole situation has only two valid solutions: We can either keep fighting and generate more animosity or we can try to keep our fears and rage under control.

[She hums for a moment, drinking from her bottle and looking at all the people who gathered for the meeting.]

I know she's your daughter and that you think you know what's better for her but... sometimes it's not so easy. Also, I may be the only one who believes in teamwork and mutual support but... hey, it has to start somewhere.
