If you have to kill everybody on a planet to fix it, you aren't fixing it at all! How - I don't understand how you don't get something that simple. Geez!

Then how would you fix it? That's- it's weird, right, everyone's all "oh nooo Jack don't kill all those skags and bandits they're so important" but I've never actually heard anyone come up with any better ideas.

The - the Vault Hunters and their friends seemed to be doing okay. Or. Or, you know, at least they weren't murdering unarmed kids and stuff?

Sanctuary seemed... nice.

[He rolls his eyes. Hard. It seriously looks like the bad one might fall out.]

Hey, why don't we ask Rhys about it? He's been down to Pandora after I died. He can tell us about how much the good folks in frickin' Sanctuary are doing.

Things don't have to be all... corporate to be nice. I thought - you know, that it was kinda cool how they all worked together and stuff. Even if it wasn't perfect.

I'd have liked to have visited.

Yeah, bandits are all about working together and being best friends. You know they had garbage lying around in the streets, right?

Nah, that's just the only thing they have in common. Didn't think you'd actually forgotten the kind of crap that they've actually done.

Everybody does bad things! Especially you! You don't get to get all judgey about them when you've done things many, many times worse. Rrgh!!

I had a good reason for everything I did. I was trying to make things better.

[Well, some things he did for shits and giggles. Or to get off. Or because he is a fuCKING UNSTABLE ASSHOLE. But that's nitpicking.]

We both know who you're going to say, and we both know that's - it's bullshit.

[He wants to argue and say that of course it was for her, how can she be so ungrateful she doesn't see - but he can't honestly make that claim any more. It's too late to pretend he's not aware of it now.

So he just stays silent, no matter how infuriating it is to have no retort. He can't even remember the last time words have failed him like this.]

[ There's no affection in the words at all, but after a second's hesitation she touches his arm in a vaguely reassuring gesture. His silence is basically as close as she'll get to him acknowledging her point, right? So just stalking off would be pretty douchey of her. ]
