That depends on how you define the concept of you, doesn't it? I'd personally say that wouldn't be me, that'd be something else using my body with no input from myself. Which sounds incredibly gross, but, um, not the point.

[ It could, of course, have sounded grosser. Please note that Angel didn't use the terms "meat puppet" or the lesser-known "steaming hot flesh-glove" to describe the situation, which are things that everyone should be thankful for. ]

I hate to call myself a tool, but that's kinda what's going on. I think, anyway. It's like that old saying: "guns don't kill people, savvy consumers who purchase high-end weaponry from reputable retailers do."

[ Her expression remains entirely blank as she pats her stomach. It's all very solemn. ]

[ Squalo's staring back at her just as flatly tbh ]

No can do, friend. No space. If I flex, my jumpsuit will rip open at the seams and that's not going to be fun for anybody.

Uh-huh. Can't have all those pounds of muscle bursting out. I'd offer my coat but there's no way it'd be enough to cover it all.

[ Also he can't... really take it off, but whatever. ]

[ Success, though, he seems to be out of his murder stupor for now. Was this the plan all along or is it just a happy side effect... ]

So why are you tryin' to convince me to kill you?

[ Oh yeah there we go. Then again him asking that question implies he's not going to, so... yay? That's the most friendliness any marked prisoners have achieved so far. You know, swearing and dick joke crushes aside. ]

I'm not. If I was trying to convince you to kill me, I'd be directly antagonising you, which would mostly involve fabricating details about the attack that would sound plausible. Joking around about my non-existent abs doesn't really seem like it'd get you angry enough.

It wouldn't work, anyway. Killing me here, I mean. That's... not a jab at your murdering abilities.

[ Aw, she's so sweet. Not doubting his murdering abilities. ]

[ ...why does she think he has murdering abilities. Was it something he said in their previous conversation? Damn it, his big goddamn mouth. ]

Hey, you didn't account for my complete disappointment when you announce the abs are non-existent. That's, like, crushing a man's hopes and dreams. Worse than direct antagonizing.

Mmmh. It. May be easier to just show you? You don't seem like the type to have a weak stomach.

[ She pootles over to the bathroom door within her cell, opens it, and steps aside so Squalo can see inside. There's an assortment of blood splatters in there, resembling what might happen if someone tried to bash their own brains out on the fixtures. Because. Because that's what happened. And stuff. ]

This is where you make a quip about menstruation to relieve any potential awkwardness.

[ There's not even a shift in Squalo's expression when he sees all that blood. So the lined chick was cute and crazy, not a big deal. He's seen people get killed in bathrooms, it usually looked similar enough. ]

[ He does, however, sort of open his mouth a little bit and close it again at the mention of menstruation. Looks like he does share some things with regular boys... Yeah. There aren't enough women in his life for him to have any period puns handy. ]

...Too late. So what exactly stopped you?

The static things. The ones that took us to be drugged. When they get too close, you get too dizzy to even function. The... head trauma doesn't help. They fixed up the damage and left - Beckett saw it, if you'd like corroboration from someone without all the red? He's the vampire guy. Old, long hair, really grumpy?

[ look if there are better ways to describe beckett, angel sure doesn't know any ]

[ Squalo's empty stare suggests the description doesn't ring a bell. Maybe half a minute later, there's a vague hint of recognition. ]

You mean the corpse-licking, mold-huffing guy?

[ yeah that's the part that stuck with him ]

That... that isn't quite how I'd... But I guess he and the mould do tend to... hmm.

 

 

 

Yes. That's the guy. Sounds really punchable when he speaks? He saw everything.

[ he's actually not being sarcastic. probably. he moves to leave, though pauses for a moment. ]
