Oh. [ Castiel takes a moment to try to steady himself, but almost immediately begins to feel off-balance and resumes his swaying. His mouth waters and his throat burns, twitching involuntarily. ]

This is new. I have never been intoxicated before.

[ He swallows, hard. ]

It's unpleasant.

[ Royce leans closer to the barrier. ]

Lay down. It'll be less unpleasant if you do that.

Okay. Thank you.

[ He slumps to the side, abruptly, more like he's stopped putting effort into keeping himself upright than he's intentionally lying down. For a moment he's silent, before saying; ]

Yes, this is better. Slightly. How are you faring?

[bywolves]

Better. Slightly. [ Royce says, closing his eyes. ] Dizzy and sick. Probably a lot like you. I wouldn't suggest standing or moving much.

[godsspeed]

[ Castiel just hums a vague noise of agreement, and takes another moment's pause to think things over. ]

Is this normally what medical treatments feel like? Will it get better, after this?

[bywolves]

I don't know. My world didn't inject people with needles.

[ Sniff. ] Probably not. Knowing this place.

[godsspeed]

My experiences with medicine are unfortunately limited. [ Not much need to learn about it, when you can restore a person to perfect health by the grace of God with a single touch. ] You're right, though. Nothing here ever seems to work as would be expected in any other world.
