Iunno much about talismans, though. Oh, except - feet! Animal feet, right? Some of those are lucky? Not so much for the animal they got cut off, though.

You can make stuff out of feet, and other pieces, but I don't. I use feathers, sometimes claws and stuff if I can get them, but mostly I work with stones, metal, leather and silk, stuff like that.

[Well, he'd once made his sister a guardian talisman out of a bird skeleton, but the bird had already been a goner of natural causes. Waste not, want not.]

Oh, thank frick. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't necessarily be against the idea of carrying around a... a lucky foot, but all the things you mentioned seem a great deal more practical. And less prone to rotting and smelling gross.

[ She totally would have carried around a gross rotting animal paw if that's what he'd had in mind. Totally. Sentiment is a hell of a drug. ]

But, um... Thanks. It's something to look forward to once we're out! Which always helps.

Yeah, I'm big on empathy and being good to animals. Natural stuff you find in the woods is about as far as I go, as far as that's concerned.

Plus, any time you're working with a piece of bone or something, you do clean it. [He has to laugh, because...well, yeah. Presentation matters.]

All those bracelets I usually wear? The ones with the leather and the cord and the beads? I made most of them. My necklace with the stones, too.

[He feels strangely naked without them.]

That's so cool. But... I guess they took those from you here, huh? They took my hair tie, too. What do they think we're going to do with things like that? Snap them and use them as tiny makeshift whips?

I mean, I can use my bracelets to pick locks, but not anything *here*. So they're kinda useless. But at least we aren't in those stupid little johnnies. No coverage at all.

Ugh, I know, right? They're awful! They know everything freaking else about us here, so you'd think they'd know our effing clothes sizes.

[ Stupid ill-fitting rakkshit. She doesn't have anything against wearing form-fitting clothes, obviously, but this is just horrid. Annnnnd not helping her feel any less vulnerable. ]

Plus white looks gross with my skintone. Especially with all the red lines. I feel like one of those red and white swirly lollipop things.

On second thought, the johnnies might have been better after all. They didn't cover anything, but at least I didn't have a permanent wedgie.
