That is not true. I murdered Mycroft Holmes and it did not stop the people he had already told to hurt Doctor House. It only made Mycroft Holmes dead. It did not solve the problem.

That's 'cause he's not the problem in this scenario. [ gosh so obvious. ] If you had murdered the people going after the doc, that would've solved it.

And hey, I'd bet Holmes is less likely to do that again after this. Can't say it didn't do anything.

I did not know who the people going after Doctor House were and Mycroft Holmes would not cooperate.

I do not know if he is less likely. He does not talk to me now.

No. When you murder someone it is over and it stops and when you torture someone it is never over and it does not stop and it does not matter what you say or if you promise to do something it never stops--

It can be. Not always the case. Fan of quick death, I take it? You do realize it's possibly to kill someone slowly.


...plus, you can be kind and stop it once you have what you need! Sometimes they beg you for it.

[In that moment, though, her body language shifts into something tense and ready. Any hint of a smile--or of any kind of expression at all--drops from her face as her thoughts turn entirely toward readiness for whatever he might try.

She does not look away when he spots John, her eyes staying trained on Squalo rather than turning to see what he is looking at. She keeps watching him as he turns to go, keeps watching even as she steps further away from the pit herself in another direction, too aware of the moment of danger in what just occurred to even bother throwing out an insult after him.]
