I'm pretty sure you're first in line. I think you'd have some good suggestions, especially if I want to go for something colorful.

You go for tattoo artist, and you kill two birds with one stone. [Don't ask her for suggestions, Rhys. You'll end up with a Harley Quinn pin-up on your butt-cheek.]

My own back-up changes semi-daily and depends on what I'm told is "realistic" or "humanly possible".

Hey, if I found the right stuff, I could do tattoos here. They wouldn't be fancy, but they'd be tattoos.

[He chuckles, to cover the faint tug of sadness.] I apprenticed for three years. So I actually have, you know. Experience. Might be something to go back to someday.

[And a Harley pinup? That would actually make a fantastic tattoo. He would actually think about it. At least a poster, okay?]

Dreams are good. Something to plan for, or just to keep your brain busy when everything else sucks. Why let practicality get in the way?

Y'know, this town could prob'ly use some kinda matchin' "I survived Norfinbury and all I got was this lousy tattoo" type art. I'd alllllllmost let ya gimme one. Just... not so great with the whole needle thing.

If I got another tattoo, it would be anything but this place.

[He chuckles.]

Regular tattoos use super small needles since it's just the surface of the skin. The actual "pen" looks sorta like a pencil eraser, and it feels more like a mild burn, than a needle.

But if you're doing it prison style, yeah. You're using a sewing needle or something. Tiny pokes but it's slow and it sucks. Get quality. You're too pretty to walk around with prison scratch.

Ain't you sweet! I'll keep that in mind if I ever get a li'l braver. Any of yours the prison type?

Maybe if I get some markers sometime soon, I'll do some nice henna-style designs for you. Last for a couple weeks, then fade.

[He shakes his head.]

Nah, I didn't do ink in prison, and I didn't trust any of the other guys there to do it. I did sell my art, though. Amazing how many Twinkies you can get just for a sketch of a sexy pinup girl.

[That someone is probably going to wank to, but, eh. That's life.]

I still need to find some paper and pens and stuff. I have chalk and charcoal, but they're messy and they smudge.

But as soon as I can draw something, I'll make sure to show you.
