A balloon air force? No way! [Okay, new assumptions about the technology levels of the 1800s. He listens intently, for once.]

Hey! Did you know that I've always wanted to ride in a balloon? My gramps was supposed to take me one year, for my birthday, but the weather was bad. [And then the next year his mom got sick so...yeah.]

Oh yeah. They even had carriers?

[He smiles.]

You know, that's still on my bucket list, too. Somehow it hasn't... happened yet. Didn't have the opportunity.

I wish we could build one now and get out of this place.

Oh, that would be amazing. Like in the Lost World.

It's a novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I think you would like it. It's about an expedition team and they go on an adventure to find dinosaurs on a high plateau in the Amazon. It's inaccessible, so to get there, they use a balloon.

Yeah, Yondu found it in a junker shop. I built a tape deck into the Milano with parts from a junker shop, too.

That's your ship, right? You built a tape deck into your ship? You must be good with that stuff.

Yeah! Well, I've been tinkering with stuff since I was a kid, Yondu taught me a lot, and so did some of the other guys on board, so yeah. Tinkering with my ship is fun, and fixing up a tape deck so you can listen to some sweet sweet tunes wasn't that hard. [Totally humble here, bro.] I keep the Milano tuned up great. She's no Millenium Falcon, that's for sure.

When you visit Earth for your tourist tour we can get you some speakers and maybe a CD-Player.

Yeah! A...CD player? Aren't CD's still like, expensive? [Not that it's a problem, he could easily steal whatever he wanted, but if Flynn's around he'd probably insist on doing it the 'honest' way.] I could just stick with cassettes.

It's okay, they're pretty widespread now. A lot more than cassettes actually? At least for me, that's 2008. So when you come visit, they should be available everywhere.

Well then, I'm gonna try out a CD player then. And speakers.

But honestly? Cassettes are great. That's disappointing.

Maybe we could go to a garage sale. People sell a lot of cassettes there I think. We could get you a little collection for your ship!

Oh dude-- [The thought of more cassettes is so much.] DUDE. That would be amazing. I'm gonna have not just a little collection, but a ginormous collection of cassettes!
