Iunno. Not great, with Beckett running off and Rhys being a tool. I've been worse, though! And at least I'm not sick or anything.

Don't think I heard about Beckett. What's gotten into him?

Iunno. He wasn't with us when Rhys died, and since then he's abandoned all meetup plans and is avoiding us as much as possible.

He's doing it right now, actually. To the right, behind that little group there. I think he thinks I haven't seen him.

That's not necessary. He can be a freaking idiot for a while if he wants to be. I have other things to worry about, right? All of us do.

On that note, is there anything I can do to help you out? Are you getting meds prescribed and stuff?

I'm running low on pain-killers. Tramadol. Still a while yet before it's gone, though.

[He goes through it very slowly.]

Do you not have a repeat prescription? If not, I could try and get one in my name for you from someone. I'm always willing to lie through my teeth for a good cause.

Nah. Non-repeating's easier to manage. Watson prescribed it and he's been good about it, but I'll keep your offer in mind, eh?

[He raises an eyebrow at her. She knows he's also certainly willing to lie if he deems it necessary.]

Works for me! And the offer applies if you need anything that can only be gotten by someone smaller and cutesier than you, of course.

Iunno what that'd even be, but. You know. If it comes up.

Are you working on supplying, then, or is this a special offer?

[ She has to laugh at that, because the image of her being a hardened supplier of illicit goods is kind of hilarious whether she likes it or not. IMAGINE. ]

It's a we're-friends-so-keep-me-in-mind-if-I-can-ever=be-useful offer! The best kind.

[He says it lightly; he's mostly joking. Mostly.]

I don't think I quite have the beard for it, but I'll bear it in mind anyway.

Iunno, there are lots of women bandits back home. And scary ruthless corporate types. As I understand it, gangsters are somewhere in the middle?

Something like that, yeah. But many women don't want to be involved in that sort of thing, and even fewer men want to involve them.
