*He jerks backwards, both at the tail's reaction and Rhys' response. After taking a moment to get back on his feet he looks up towards Rhys, cants his head, and points at the tail.*

[Mute? Seems so. Rhys relaxes a little, not that he felt threatened in the first place.]

It's real, and it's attached. They sewed it on in the last weird experiment shit they did, and it stuck around.

[The tail in question switches back and forth lazily. Rhys lifts it up, so that more of it shows, an unspoken offer that Brian can have a closer look if he wants. That's quite a bit, some it's nearly three feet long.]

*The last weird experiment...when everyone was taken to that tower? Huh, he didn't know anything stuck around after that. Not that he'd looked into it.

He spends a few moments peering at (probably) the tail before putting his camera down and taking out a notepad. He scribbles on it for a moment, then holds it up to Rhys.*

[Rhys hadn't seen anything else stick around, either. Maybe he'd just been lucky, because it wasn't actually a wound, it was more of a joke than anything.

He was relieved the horns were gone, though. Those had just been gross.

He peers at the notepad, and then nods.]

It feels just like it's a part of me. I can move it, and it's sensitive to touch.

Also. You're...Brian?

*How odd. He wonders if that'd work for anything else added to a person, or if it was specific to the tower surgeries. Its probably best he has no way to test that.

[Sorry, Other Rhys, but Rhys laughs at that, and holds out his arm to show the thick black tattoos covering his skin.

He's also fairly soft-spoken, so there's definitely that to set him apart.]

I'd say it's good to finally meet you, but I know we've talked before.

[He nods toward the camera.]

Is it actually picking up things?

*Ink Rhys. Okay.

He shakes his head and turns the camera so Rhys can see what its getting. There's so much distortion barely anything can be made out. If he had some good editing software he'd try to see if he could fix that...but instead he's just filming in hopes that SOMETHING will come through. That and the weird, Operator-mind-fucked habit of filming everything.*

[Rhys peers over, watching the screen. He doesn't know much about tech, but he knows enough to understand what he's seeing, and he looks back at Brian after a moment.]

Like the hauntings, and the anomalies.

Still good to have a record of it, though.

[He gives the other man a tight smile.]

Especially with almost everyone in the town, here.

*He nods. It had to mean something with his camera showed as much distortion as his tablet (well, he assumes his tablet would if it'd turn on) since there were times when it didn't.

He nods again to the last statement but its slower. He doesn't like having this many people so close.*

[Rhys gets that nod. A little too well, even as much as he likes company. "Everyone in one place" is not necessarily a good thing, especially with some of the personalities in this town.]

In my world, all electronics tend to have strange things happen when ghosts or other strange things are around. Something to do with the electrical fields they put off. It might be that sort of thing.

*He nods enthusiastically. The only not-normal (at least to other people) he knows from his world fucks with recordings a lot. As do people who've had exposure to it.*

[Good that they have things in common. They've had talks about their worlds before and Rhys sees a few similarities, and it definitely makes talking to the weird, hooded stranger easier.]

I don't trust whatever's down there. The fact that we're trapped with it makes it that much worse.

But at least we aren't having nosebleeds and headaches. If it's an anomaly, we're too far from it to be affected, for now.
