I mean I haven't finished looking around yet, so I'm not going to jump. [ Royce says flatly. ] I'll do it later.

I mean, I get the why, it's in my head, too, but it's also very deep and very teethy and very certain death-y? [He is very upset by this.]

Why not? [ Shrug. ] Is there any point to staying up here?

How about not giving in to something that is obviously the city messing with us again? How about not dying?

[ Royce glances at Flynn, raising an eyebrow. ]

Is there a point to not dying? [ A beat, and then: ] More importantly, I'm not sure why you care.

Yes, there is! Why wouldn't I care? [Stomping his foot. You people are so frustrating!] It's normal to care!

It's normal not wanting other people jump to their death! It's horrible when people die and it's important to try and prevent it!

[ Royce tilts his head a bit. ]

It's also normal for people to die. [ He folds his arms. ] And you don't know that death is waiting for us, down there.

Not in a horror pit it isn't! There is nothing normal about any of this!

And yes, yes, I do! Rationally, I do. Because the way goes down and there is something lurking and the human body cannot withstand a free fall from this height into a row of teeth!

What, so it's a competition now? There's not decapitation or cutting each other open involved so it's fine? Is that our scale now?

It can be tamer and still be bad! People jumping to a potential death is still bad!
