He also knows that he seems to care about Alfie and Duster. Normally, that would bother him, but it doesn't this time. It doesn't because there's something more important on his mind. ]

He might not be the same when you return. [ They weren't the only ones barely hanging on. ]

You're worried he's gonna have a breakdown.
