[Peter's in agony by now, but he's also incredibly stubborn. Carefully, he's written Gamora, Rocket, Drax, Groot, Mantis, Flynn, Stephen, Blue as well as the stuff that House wrote in charcoal, the latter not as careful as the former because by then his hand was shaking. His arm is a bloodied mess, dripping and running down onto the floor, and by the time House reaches for his hand, it'd be sweaty. Beads of sweat collect on his forehead, and his jaw aches with how much he's been gritting his teeth and trying to hold in all the terrific Kree words his translator never was able to quite get.

He flinches when House initially does grab hold, but he doesn't pull away, letting the other man work.]

I hate you so much.

[It's not exactly lined with vitriol, but he's pissed that he's ended up doing this to himself, hates that House was actually right about it, hates that he owes him some mysterious future favor and 10 songs, and hates that he's helping him right now.]

The doctor's hands shake slightly with the combined malnutrition, pain, and general anxiety induced by this place, but he's also a persistent, stubborn bastard and Peter's cleaned up and his arm is bound in gauze a few minutes later.]

House tosses the remaining gauze into Peter's lap before moving to stand up, grab his pack and move away to another area to make his observations.]

Change it twice a day until the bleeding stops. Wash between changes. Don't apply any kind of cream or ointment if you want it to scar properly. send me what you recorded there when we get out along with the songs. I don't care what they are, as long as they're new.

[You can't just say things like that, House! Peter's even more irritated at him for making him feel sorry for him. That's not...something he really expected to hear. And he can't bring himself to poke at the other man for it, either. Not something like this.

The small amount of kindness, even though Peter figures it was some doctor-instinct that doctors all had and couldn't ignore, coupled with what House just said, really takes the fire out of whatever scathing remark or insult that he struggled to come up with next amongst the pain, the impulse coming from the pit, and the residual paranoia hovering just under his conscious thoughts.]

Y...yeah. I will.

[He takes the gauze, and pretends to busy himself with arranging his pack, not looking back up at House. When he's sure House is finally gone, he's just going to yell, muffled into his jacket, maybe shed a few angry, pained tears that he wouldn't dare reveal in front of him. His arm burns, aching with the reminder of what he's just done, and how he can't take any of it back.]
