...Sounds pretty much like Elpis. Everything wants to murder you, or murder the thing that just murdered you? And, um, so on.

[ elpis has fewer spiders, though, which immediately makes it superior because fuck spiders in every gross spidery orifice they have. all of them. ]

I guess that's why. Australians would definitely have the skillset to survive in a place like that.

I mean, they're just like everyone else. Only they deal with deadly snakes on a daily basis. And run a legitimate risk of being eaten by crocodiles.

Gothamites are just as cool, but our daily risks are all man-made.

There's a crocodile in the sewer, but he's just a human with a skin condition.

Ew. Not to be rude to someone I've never met, but I'm gonna hope he doesn't show up here. Especially now our toothy-thing-living-deep-underground quota is full.

[ She peers over the edge of the pit again. SUP DOWN THERE, BRAH. ]

[ She snorts a laugh. ]

Maybe that's him down there.

[ She turns to shout into the pit again. ]

Hey, Waylon! If that's you, gnash your teeth twice!

I guess it's not him. Should I be pleased about that...?

Probably not. His teeth are hella sharp, but his mouth is only so big.

Though I do wonder if what we see down there is even real.

It kinda feels like we shouldn't be able to see anything at all, huh? With how deep the hole seems to be.

How long d'you think it'd take to reach the bottom.

Sure does.

[ She considers the pit for a long while, not apparently bothered by any kind of intrusive thoughts. After all, the thoughts are perfectly natural to her. ]
