Enoch is sitting with his knees drawn up to his chest, tablet balanced on them as he taps at its screen ineffectually with a finger. Naturally, nothing he can do will turn the tablet on.

"I can't show it to him..."

Suddenly feeling watched, he looks up and sees Brian and his camera. Someone has a working lens! He smiles weakly and raises a hand in greeting. People might see it later, it seemed like the right thing to do.

He cants his head and moves closer to Enoch when he's acknowledged. The statement probably wasn't too him, but he's still curious.

What is- oh. [He looks down at the tablet, as if he'd already forgotten it was there.]

...Nothing works. I assume yours doesn't, either, since you have your other one out.

*He nods. His tablet won't turn on either. He's gathered that's normal, but its still annoying. Especially when it was one's preferred method of communication.*

I hope it records something of use. It tends to provide a perspective on the world our eyes and tablets cannot.

[No nanomachines and all, though he's not quite at the point of thinking on those terms automatically for every machine out there.]

*He seems to sigh, or at least he he heaves his chest like he does but there's no sound. Then he flips the camera over so Enoch can see what it sees; there's so much distortion barely anything can be made out. Still, it was a record.*

[That's...strange. And only seems stranger the more he tries to pick it apart. It may be because he's trying to pick it apart on horrendously bad amounts of sleep, but he just can't make sense of it.]

...I wonder what that could mean. That one- it ought to see things without distortion. It isn't connected to the town the way everything else is. But it captured something...we are here, certainly.

*He shrugs. He has no idea what it means. Normally he'd try to analyze it further but he couldn't really do that here. So he's just going to keep filming and hope to come across something that helps answer those questions later.

He nods. Its defintiely got something.*

[Well, Brian may not be the most responsive of conversation partners, but it's nice to not have someone obsess over how exhausted he looks for once. It's not that he doesn't appreciate the others' concern, he just doesn't know what else he can do about it. How do you stop having horrific nightmares?]

What are you going to do with it - to try to learn more?

*Man, he wishes he knew...

He just shrugs. He'll study it as much as he can, but he's not sure there's any hope to finding anything useful in it.*

Mm. I can't imagine what we might find in it. Perhaps something we will only understand after the fact?

It is better to have it than not.
