For you I would suspect knowledge to be an appropriate purpose. Power is a popular choice. There have been many who have sought to overthrow the gods.

What am I supposed to do with knowledge when all of it is meaningless? I've tried that and it got me nowhere but here. Or power, for the matter. My kind have pursued every type of power you can imagine. Every kind of answer. Nothing came to anything in the end!
