In asking the admin's intervention, or in cutting heads off? I'm afraid the answer is no either way, but I'd like to know exactly what you have in mind. Out of understandable concern, I'm sure you grasp.
circumsutus: (huh that's weird)

Are you asking me to start monologuing like some kind of comic book villain?

Sometimes I suspect you'd enjoy it.

That's not the point.

I don't currently know the extent of the Admin's behavioral modifications at this moment. If I find out anything interesting, I'll let you know.

Are you really going through with it, then?

Already done. It became necessary to remove the implant in my head, and I wasn't going to do that without taking advantage of the Admin's supposed ability to subdue violent impulses.

[Well, that is unexpected. He needs more information here, clearly. He switches to video - relying on the unspoken convention that the other man would do the same, though he knows the odds may not be high.

He tilts his head slightly at the camera, wary curiosity very visible.]

Did it work as advertised? As far as you can tell.

[Curiosity. It's a very prominent trait the two men share, and Stein never minds talking with a similar mind about his experiments. Horror and shock and disgust are amusing reactions, but there's nothing like shared interest.

He's still bundled up well (it's not exactly warm in the houses), but when he turns the video on he's removed the wrapped fabric he usually wears around his head. The implant has very clearly been removed, with no immediately obvious signs of scarring or damage (though his glasses are missing).
]

As far as I can tell, it has. The removal of the implant should have resulted in an increase in violent compulsions and a marked decrease in impulse control, but with the Admin's procedure I experienced the exact opposite impact. At the moment, I am experiencing absolutely no violent impulses at all, and have not since my revival. At first I was concerned that it was simply the death price, but that wore off without impacting the aspects the Admin said she could control.

[The sight of Stein without the implant is strange in its ordinariness. Pretty much human, deceptive as Beckett knows these things are. He looks the man over very carefully, looking for specific kind of minutiae - suggestion of stiffness, of words being recited or parroted, anything that might tell him that it is not exactly Stein he's speaking to.]

And have you noticed no other change? Any reduced or amplified capacities? A change in energy level or focus, dissociative or invasive thoughts, or the like?

[There's nothing abnormal in his expression or mannerisms, beyond subtle signs of exhaustion. But at Beckett's comment, he approximates a smirk, or some other kind of amused expression.]

You're asking if I experienced any mental changes after reversing a lobotomy.

Why, yes I am. Since you are a professional, I would think you'd be able to tell which changes are to be expected, and which are an unexpected side effects resulting from outside influence.
