He's careful to hold his tablet the correct distance away and have it pointed at him before he starts recording - this is important, and he doesn't want anyone to be sidetracked by his confusion regarding these devices. ]

Those of you who stepped into the role of this town's Prophet last night; I need you to tell me what the beings with lights in their mouths looked like to you.

[ It's a demand as much as it is a request. He has to know if the others were being made to kill angelic effigies, immediately. Facial expressions are still something he has to make a conscious effort to preform most of the time, but even with his body language at its usual formal-neutral, there's a noticeable undercurrent of rattled desperation to his tone. Clearly the dream didn't treat him well. ]

No, not particularly. But I recognized their forms. I just wanted to be certain that no one else was seeing the same thing.

[ By now he's (almost) certain that those weren't his brethren, only crude imitations, but the idea of something compelling a group of mortals to hunt and kill creatures in angelic guise has worrying implications. He's glad that doesn't seem to be the case. ]

Were they-- did you recognise them from home?

[It's a guess based on recognising their forms, and also the fact that Norfinbury has a horrible penchant for showing people that sort of thing. He will never forget some of the anomalies that he's seen because of it.]

Yes. They were the kinds of beings that... [ He trails off for a moment, searching for the right words. ] It would be very concerning to hear people were being compelled to attack them, even if it wasn't real.

I'm sorry.

[It's genuine sympathy, he knows how horrible that is.]

It probably wasn't real, this place likes to make us see things that would hurt us.

Yes. I knew that they weren't who they appeared to be, but it was still upsetting to see them in such a state.

Thank you, for your sympathy. [ Do you thank people for expressing sympathy? Castiel isn't certain, but it seems like the right thing to do here. ]

You don't have to thank me for that.

[Poor guy, Al's voice gets warmer and firmer.]

There's not much we can do for each other here but support one another, so I think that's just the basic right we have to expect from the other people here. To let you know that you're not alone when the bad things happen.

That makes sense. Still, it is appreciated. [ Moreso for that explanation. If everybody looked at things that way, the world would probably be a better place. ]

You're also one of the people who's been labeling the buildings as they pass through them. I wanted to thank you for that, too. It's been very helpful.

[It's probably obvious from his tone that he's grateful that it's been helpful, it's always good when he hears that one of the little things he does isn't useless.]

I just wanted to make sure that people knew there was someone out there that they could contact if they needed help, or even just needed a friendly voice.

Yes. I would have assumed that I was alone here, if it hadn't been for that. [ And likely frozen to death or starved. True enough that he had the tablet, but human technology isn't exactly his area of expertise. It's possible he just wouldn't have thought to use it on his own. ]

That's the biggest problem a lot of people just getting here have, knowing they're not alone. I wish there was a way we could know where they'd be, so they didn't have to be alone when they woke up.

[But it never seems to work out that way, he's never heard of anyone waking up in a house that already contains people.]
