[Even without the niggling feeling in the back of her mind that she really should, she would've stepped forward to meet him, try to catch his shoulder and steady him a bit.

She's not heartless, and the way he's limping does not look pretty. She recognizes him too, from when they ran into each other the night they were able to run all about town.]

Jeez. You look like you've been through hell.

[ Sylar chuckles at that, even if it does come out sounding rather weak. ]

Yeah, well. It's been a few months in Norfinbury. Guess I really fit in, now.

[ The way she's got him has him feeling far more stable, as well as a lot less scared. That's good, maybe he can actually get somewhere, here. They could help each other. ]

There's no monsters here. I think, anyway- I've got no idea how big the room is. Closest one is...

[ He points, upward and to the left, at a wall. ]

[Yeah, she doesn't really have an argument there. She probably looks like she's been through the wringer herself. She sighs when she sees where he's pointing.]

A "room" isn't exactly how I'd describe it. Ever seen a copy of M.C. Escher's "Relativity"?

[He probably has, if he's from any modern iteration of Earth. It was one of those kinds of things that was so famous that almost everyone had seen it, even if they didn't really know the name.]
termineur: (Careful)

Escher, really?

[ For a blind man, he has a really impressive eyeroll. ]

Well, that explains the monsters I've seen standing upside down, I guess. Glad I haven't gotten too far, now. Let me know if I'm about to step off a ledge, would you?

[ The words are flippant, but there's a tension underneath them. He can't entirely hide the fear he's feeling. ]
