[network] @winston; PICTURES, Day 003, 09:00 [open]
[ ATTACHMENT: A picture of a piano, agonizingly normal-looking. It's from building 84. The picture is clear. ]
[ ATTACHMENT: A picture of an empty living room, from building 89. Unremarkable and clear. ]
[ ATTACHMENT: A picture of an empty bathroom, from building 89. Also unremarkable and clear. ]
Does anybody see it? A fog or a haze in the picture. In any of these pictures. They were there yesterday, but something's changed, presumably to do with what they gave us. The drug, it must dull the senses somehow. Must affect our vision.
[ What he's writing doesn't exactly make sense, but he's so certain that he saw what he did that he doesn't consider the potential contradiction entirely. ]
It sounds bizarre, but I wouldn't trust my eyes in this place. Any of our senses, really.
Did anybody else take pictures of anything? Did anything... change for you? After this morning.

Every picture is clear and unremarkable for me. Were the subjects fogged or hazed over before you used your camera?
And I've taken only one photograph. It was of my injection site.
no subject
Interesting choice. Convincing yourself that the injection was real?

[His question irritates her. Why? Part of it is just that she's on edge thanks to hunger and dread and the bleak, freezing environment. The rest is that she resents any perceived insinuation that she has a sub-par grip on reality.
She grits her teeth and takes a mental step back. It's just a question. There's no tone to read into.]
No. I wished to share the image with the network, to confirm if others had also undergone the experience, and to see if ID: claytonator noticed anything strange about it. He's a doctor, so I assumed he would know.

[ He apologises (in a fashion) despite her message coming off fairly neutral. Empathy doesn't work when you can't see a person, and it doesn't work particularly well when you've only got a few sentences to work off, but her lack of even entertaining his question is rather telling to him. ]
Rather more resourceful. I was projecting, perhaps. It would've been the first thing I would've done, not so long ago.
[ Keeping evidence of what was real and not real, in regards to things that had been done to him, that is. ]

Winters can be harsh, even for a northerner such as myself. I don't recognize these lands, nor have I come across anyone in my searching.
[It was only him and Grey Wind, but there must be others given Robb kept receiving text across this metal square and sometimes moving pictures that he could speak too.]
I'd not even seen any hares or wildlife. I do not trust this place at all, though you can become disillusioned if too much time is spent in these conditions.
no subject
Did you get it, too? The injection.
no subject
[But Robb knew this wasn't Westeros or at least quickly believing that more and more now. He didn't recognize any of these lands or what little architecture remained. And the word 'injection'... Now it made sense.]
Aye. My right arm is sore, but I haven't come across anyone yet in my searching nor has my direwolf picked up on anything.

Wait, what happened exactly? They were clear and then they were foggy and then they were clear again?
no subject
That would be the gist of it. Clear when I stood there, looking at the space and taking the picture. Foggy when I looked at the pictures a few moments later. And now, clear again.
The picture of the piano was the foggiest. The others were only hazy around the edges. You don't see any of it, do you? At all.
no subject
Crystal clear. Did anyone else see the pictures before the injections?

I don't see anything, it all just looks plain to me. There's a piano, a bathroom, and a lounge, nothing out of the ordinary...
voice
Something changed after the injections. Either with our eyes or the images. Tampered with, maybe. It seems I'm not the only one who saw something like this.
[ The voice has thrown him, though. ]
Are you-- alone? You sound... fairly young.
voice
He has been seeing odd things out of the corner of his eyes, but he assumed that was a reaction to the panic at being injected, not the injection itself. His finger seek out the impossible needle mark in his arm, curiosity overriding fear for now.]
Huh? Oh-! Oh, no, I'm fine, really.
[Stupid voice.]
I've been out alone in conditions like this before, I can take care of myself.
oh my gosh i'm so sorry, i must've completely lost this tag when i deleted my inbox!!
don't worry about it!

[ Not that Haku doesn't necessarily subscribe to the idea of their senses being altered - it would explain the injection and the weird feelings and near-hallucinations from yesterday. Not to mention that he's dealt with kinds of biological warfare back home too. But on the other hand, those footsteps Eiri was talking about from the house he woke up in on the first day..
Haku lingers for a moment before he sends another message. ]
If you believe those exist.
no subject
I don't. But what I believe doesn't appear to matter anymore if people from fairytales are apparently running around.
Do you believe in them? Ghosts.
no subject
No. Like you said, it could just be a case of our senses being altered. We've already been kidnapped, so it's not like I would put it past our captors. [ Whoever they are, anyway. ]
It's just what your story made me think of.

I don't see anything unusual with the photos you've taken, but I suppose you were expecting to hear that. Do you feel unusual in any other ways? Dizzy? Numb? Strange sounds or blurred vision, outside the pictures?
no subject
Not today. Yesterday. Everything appears to be back in working order today, save for this irritating discrepancy with what I see.
Did you feel unusual? Dizzy? Numb? Strange sounds or blurred vision, yesterday?
[ He doesn't mean to sound on the offensive, really, but doctors asking him questions about symptoms to do with his mental state are his absolute not-favourite. ]
no subject
[To that end, Clayton has a kind of procedure for these sorts of people.]
I'm sorry. I guess you know where my head is right now, huh? These injections have gotten everyone riled up lately.
Do you have a good idea of how everyone else was feeling when you took those photos, and if you were experiencing anything different? I'm only making sure, you understand.

Your probably hallucinated? In a situation like this it's definitely pretty possible.

You haven't hallucinated anything? Noises? Over the past day or so?
