I am moving.

[He keeps his voice low and almost soothing, like talking to a spooked animal, and keeps moving backwards in increments.

After he makes it five more steps, he finally turns and begins to sprint at top speed. He's not looking for a house, exactly, just anywhere where he can hide from his possible pursuer.]

[ Increments is something, sure, but it's not as fast as he wishes he would... he would...

What was he.. thinking about? His head hurts and he finds himself teetering to a kneel as the dam reining that outward pressure from invading breaks and alien thoughts swirl and spin. Thoughts that make his heart pound and hair rise at the back of his neck. He can't-

He can't let that man get away. If he lets him get away, he'll-

Zack takes up the makeshift sword from behind him, raising it to his forehead one moment.

A split second later though and he's off, racing after Bucky full tilt. Whatever desperation's gone from his eyes as he zones in on his target.

A SOLDIER's not supposed to question orders, after all. It's for the good of everyone, after all.

[He'll have to be fast to catch Bucky, they're both at the upper limits of what humans can do, but Bucky has experience in hiding from pursuit. It's a skill he's honed exceptionally over the past few years with all the people hunting him.

He just runs fast enough to get out of eyeline and then stops, drops, and covers himself in snow.

He'll hide here until the pursuit has gone, and then move off in another direction.]

[ He's definitely fast. He'll give him that much. Fast but so is Zack.

Which apparently doesn't amount to much when he turns the corner and Bucky's just gone. He frowns deeply as he treks forward on the lookout for the traitor. And if he might have stepped right over Bucky, well.

That might have just been a thing. He hesitates, looking around for a moment longer. But then he continues along his way, unaware of the Winter Soldier as he wanders off in unsucessful pursuit.
