Deeper in the tunnels, the apartment with the pit. [House taps it on Davesprite's map to indicate which it is.]

The guy's got stitches all over his face like he cut himself apart and sewed the pieces back together more than a few times. Head's wrapped up in a turban thing, lab coat, silver hair, and spectacles. Basically, he's an anime character.

What is with this place and anime?

[What's with stitched-up people, too? At least Ecks is—well—never mind, she's got prophet eyes too from what he said. Shit. He casts a good look over either shoulder, listening to check no one's come along to interrupt them yet.]

[Then he looks back to House.]

Do you think there's anything I can get done about the door and those dolls right now, or am I just wasting my time in a murder labyrinth by being here?

[To Davesprite's credit, this is something House considered earlier in the evening.]

Wasting time. Everything's frozen right now. [He motions back to the way Davesprite had come in, where the snow is still in the air.] Ten-to-one nothing that happens tonight matters because we'll get reset. Or we'll get reset and forget like last time.

[House glances away and considers telling the kid he's pretty much guaranteed to die tonight.]

[He doesn't have to. Davesprite's certain down inside that before the night is over something awful is going to happen, and the murder attempts just don't count yet because they didn't succeed. None of us are gonna be all right is practically a guiding philosophy in this place.]

[He waits until House is gone from sight, watching him, then leaves the way he came.]
