[ He waits until that moment when the dog starts to charge, then rolls and leaps. He goes for Dug's neck, all teeth and claws. ]

[Dug is taken by surprise, and doesn't even know how to fend off an attack like this besides. He's lucky enough to have thick fur as well as a heavy leather collar encircling his neck, but it will only help him so much. He yelps and snarls, twisting and turning as he tries to get his mouth around the cat -- if he can do it he won't give any more warning snaps; he means to bite down hard and shake the creature.]

[ The Cat really digs in, kicking at the dog's face with claws extended.

The fight is a vicious one on both sides, full of blood and alarming noises and dangerously large clumps of fur. At the end of it only the Cat remains standing. ]
