[She stops in the middle of what she's doing, hands still on corpse's face, conflicting commands making her freeze up for a few seconds. Leave that alone, but You must always bring back the face. What resistance she's built up to her own natural obedience has slipped away tonight, and after a moment she succumbs to the most recent command.

She takes his hand, her fingers sticky. She can come back later. They're running out of time.

She already has the flesh of another face tied to the clothing at her hip with fishing line.]

[ Clint can't help it - the face tied to her hip is pretty damn gross, justified or not. She gets up, and he stares for just a couple of seconds before forcing his eyes away from it. ]

I agree with you. We gotta figure out how to smoke 'em out. [ Clint says, holding her hand tightly. The blood on his hands, both Lutha's and his own, mingles with the blood on hers. ] You got anything that can set stuff on fire? Maybe we can burn houses until they scuttle out.

I have kerosene, but it is in the new tunnels. I left all of my things there so that I could move more freely. I have never tried using the kerosene but the man who traded it to me said that it would burn very well.

Yeah. Kerosene burns really well. I bet we could get that to spark up some houses real fast. We can probably make it to the split tunnels without much trouble, so why don't we go there first?

[ He offers her a little grin. ] We make a good team, I think.

I think we will be a very good team.

[Excitement! She's never been on a team before. Not like this.]

We will get the kerosone, and either they will come out of the houses or they will burn for hurting the Prophet.

You've got the best ideas. [ Clint says, squeezing her hand. He'll just lead her out of the house, here, and then let go of her hand gently. ] Lead on, Miss Ecks.
