[Stalking around outside in the show is a young man about sixteen years old, wielding a meat mallet and lurking around the building like he's waiting for whomever was inside to emerge. He would have liked to have caught him by surprise, but apparently the blond is wary. But the pause after accidentally revealing himself is a good sign. He's not charging at Peter, so he might not be one of the Prophet's dogs.]

Yer a runner?

[So there are more. He lowers his weapon, showing himself and giving Ed a look over from his place. His eyes glow faintly behind the hazel irises, but he doesn't have the symbols on them.]

Figures that everybody'd go crazy. Damn it.

Runner? ...yeah, whatever. I guess so. I'm not out to kill anyone if that's what you mean.

[it's a relief to run into someone that's not some scribble eyed crazed murderer, even if he's only admitting that to himself. He'll even forgive the guy for coming at him with a meat mallet. That's justified in these really stressful times.]

I haven't been found by any of em yet, but it's been close. [he's good at hiding when he needs to.]

[That is what he means, apparently, even though he doesn't say it. The boy changes his stance to eye Edward with a more curious look, dropping the immediate defensive posture.]

Nah, I ain't about to be killed by these zombies. They ain't that bright.

[He's actually just been lucky, but he's young and confident.]

Guess we oughta be clearin' them out, but I don't like to feed my enemies.

I don't know about that. Don't assume just because they're not acting right they've gone and gotten stupid.

[Zack fair is not a stupid man, and likely the only reason Ed wound up out of that situation is because Zack was holding himself back somehow.]

Wait, what do you mean by clearing them out?

[He sounds skeptical.]

Well, if they're already cursed they're jus' gonna kill everyone else anyway. They're better off dead.

[But Peter shrugs.]

[Ed's eyes widen. What? It's alarming when it's laid out that way, kill or be killed. But Ed's not exactly the type that's okay with murder at all, under any circumstances.]
