[exequies]

[The undertaker's mouth slips up into a smile. It isn't an especially nice one, but it's a smile none the less.]

Of course.

[bywolves]

Find it? [ Royce asks, voice still low. He thinks he knows what Alfie's looking for, here. ]

[devoutish]

No. Where is it, Mr. Undertaker?

[exequies]

[He laughs a little, feigning disbelief, and raises one hand to push his bangs out of the way.]

That supposed to be a joke?

[Then, he goes from inert to an explosion of activity without further warning. His first attempt is to indeed hook his foot onto the inside of Royce's leg and ankle, using it to both swing his own body around and try to take out Royce's balance along with it.

His coat may suffer a gash from the other's knife in the process, but it's better than it kissing skin. If he can't knock the other man over with his first move, he'll follow it up with a knee aimed for the groin.]

[bywolves]

[ Royce is expecting retaliation, but he's not quite as quick as he used to be. Undertaker can manage to get Royce's feet out from under him, but Royce is a little like a monkey when he needs to be. His ankle goes out, but Royce grabs onto Undertaker's coat and holds on, making himself dead weight - he's taking Undertaker to the floor with him if he can. ]

[devoutish]

[Alfie really wishes he had his jump rope on him right now. Or, you know, his gun. He's also not as quick as he used to be - and he never was as quick as Royce - but he takes advantage of the fact that he's still standing, aiming to help Royce keep the Undertaker down.]

[exequies]

[Royce successfully pulls him down, but Undertaker hasn't lived as long as he has from sheer luck alone. He fights dirty, using every trick he can to get the upper hand. It's difficult when he's fighting two on one, but not impossible.

Even if he's pulled down, he grapples for Royce's stabbing hand and next attempts a headbutt and a kick back towards Alfie. The heels on his boots aren't terribly sharp but they still pack more pain than a flat-footed shoe.]

[bywolves]

[ Royce is also a dirty fighter, which is why when Undertaker tries to grab at his stabbing hand, Royce just goes ahead and bites him. His hand, specifically, the one that's trying to grab for his shiv. ]

[devoutish]

[Bless you, Royce. Alfie dodges the kick, but clumsily, and he stumbles. He steps back quickly to get his bearings, out of kicking range, so that his off-balance can't be taken advantage of.]

[exequies]

[The bite definitely makes him flinch a bit and release his grip, but not before he shoves back and attempts to roll them both. He's looking to break away at the first opportunity.]

[bywolves]

[ The two of them roll, and Royce growls, trying to re-position his shiv to get it to go through some part of Undertaker. Whether or not he manages, though, is really up in the air, with how much they're moving about. Royce is determined to try and keep Undertaker on the ground, to climb over him and straddle-pin him right down into the floor, but the dude is wily and Royce off balance. ]

[devoutish]

Royce--

[He doesn't like the two of them rolling around on the floor like this; it makes him nervous. He steps on one of the Undertaker's shoulders to try to keep him down, and while at the same time offering Royce a hand to help him up.]

[exequies]

[The shiv does nick him at the edge of his chest as he tries to deflect it. Nothing more than a surface cut, but Royce does get to draw first blood.

His hand still clenches onto his wrist to force it as far away from him as he can, grunting as his opposite shoulder's stepped on and forced down. The same hand reaches into his sleeve and extracts a razor blade from somewhere within it, before he gives a slash at Alfie's calf. It's unlikely to reach far given how he's pinned, but it might nick him.]

[bywolves]

[ Royce hisses when the Undertaker pulls out that blade - he sees the glint of the metal and pushes Alfie's hand away to make sure the blade doesn't get at any of his fingers, but it may very well still hit Alfie's leg.

In any case, he's going to go ahead and try to sit on the Undertaker's other arm, the one Alfie doesn't have pinned, and wrestle away that blade. ]

[devoutish]

[It catches his pants, leaving a little slice, and he feels the cool kiss of the blade against his bare skin. But it doesn't hurt, and he knows that it's given him nothing more than a tiny cut or scrape, if that.]

You're making a fucking fool of yourself, Untertaker.

[exequies]

[It's true that he's not performing to his usual level of tactics. He'll gladly blame the state they're all in for that--the urge to run and hide is tampering with his decision making.

But he at least realizes that struggling further isn't going to get him anywhere. He's still tense, having been disarmed of most of his weapons.]

It's a shame we don't seem to see eye-to-eye.

[bywolves]

[ Royce scowls down at him. ]

It's a shame you refused to cooperate to begin with.

[devoutish]

Mm, yeah.

[He's cheerfully agreeing with both of them, as he forcibly subdues the Undertaker.]

Where are the pills?

[exequies]

I already traded them.

[It's a lie, of course. But he's determined not to let them rob him of everything he has.]

But shouldn't you two be more worried about the row we've been making?

[bywolves]

I'm not worried. Are you worried, Solomons?

[devoutish]

Not at all, Royce. I don't think there's anybody here who's gonna be on this man's side.

[exequies]

[Rather than show any fear, Undertaker lets out a faint giggle.]

You say that, but you feel it too don't you? Both your eyes are the same as mine.

[bywolves]

[ Royce casually twists the arm he's got in his grip to an unnatural angle - not enough to break, but getting there. ]

You should be worried that you've managed to get people who should be on your side against you.

[devoutish]

We're not talking about the eyes.

[He starts patting down the Undertaker's sides now, still searching.]

This has nothing to do with that.

[exequies]

[The twist makes the corners of his eyes crease in a not-quite wince. He doesn't make a sound of pain however, his tolerance far too high. There's the bat still holstered beneath his coat, but the pills are secured and tied into the insides of his large sleeves.]

You don't care that we're being hunted? That's awfully short-sighted of you.
