[ You must be a level 5 friend to unlock Kanan's backstory, especially when you're being sketch. But: ]

[He doesn't even care, because then Kanan says Coruscant. Zach lets out a high-pitched squeal, biting at his knuckles. He knew it. He knew it!

But obviously the dude seems to be super worried about it, so Zach switches his side of the conversation to private.]

okay, this is going to sound super weird, but. i know about coruscant. i know about your universe. i know about droids and the empire and the jedi and the force. it's - in my world, it's a story. one of my favorites.

The Jedi are dead. The old religion died out at the end of the war, fourteen years ago. There's something you don't know.

Zach works through his Star Wars memories, thinking. Wondering where in the timeline does the guy fit. He'd ask about Luke and Leia and Han, but what if the guy is from earlier, and Zach would be spoiling his own history? It's probably not a very good thing to do for the space-time continuum or something.]

who won the war? who were the main generals who did?

[ Kanan can't quite believe the guy's even asking that question. The Republic, technically, though it didn't exactly win so much as get dissolved in favor of the Empire.

Not that Kanan remembered much of that; he'd been too busy running for his life in the early days of the Empire. ]
