Yeah, sometimes. The people here help. Rhys helps.

[But she still misses Sasha like crazy.]

I'd rather have someone from home who's distant from me than someone important to me. Then I could have the familiarity without the worry, yeah?

[plundering]

[She sighs.]

Rhys and I were friends back home, too.

Do you ever think about what you'd do if that sister of yours showed up?

[Fiona frowns in a way that betrays the fact that she's thought entirely too much about this possibility.]

I look at the kids here and think about my littlest nieces and nephews.

Six and seven are the little ones. There's also a two-year-old. Have you ever seen a two-year-old here?

Good. It's bad enough for the grown-ups.

Some cousin of a cousin, though. Yeah. I'd mind that a little less. Someone familiar, but not close.

This place pushes people together, though.

[His eyes flicker down to their hands for a moment, because haha, yeah.]

Sure. I'm as close to Duster now as I am with people I've known for years.

[She's teasing, mostly just to lighten the mood a bit.]

We know about hardship bringing people together, where I come from. My people aren't well-liked.

[plundering]

What do you mean?

[devoutish]

[This is something he hasn't actually admitted to a lot of people who don't already know - Tifa knows some, and Royce knows more, but that's it. People from other worlds know he's Jewish, but they don't know what that means. He tells them about the good, and neglects to mention the bad.]

It's not just a religion, yeah? It's a people, a race. And one other people like to do bad things to - drive us out of their lands, or worse.

Yeah, we are. There's not an ill in the world we haven't been blamed for.
