[She isn't certain whether this would be a comfort or not, but she feels she needs to say something.]

I remember the feeling of walking.
The doors were locked.
I did not choose to move.
I choose what I do and do not do, but I did not choose this.

Did you also dream you ought to kill me?
Did you choose that?

[Is that a little bit of a grudge? That's a little bit of a grudge.]

[Kesara contemplates this for a moment, and decides not to hold a grudge in return. It makes her feel the bigger woman.]

I thought I had to or you'd kill me first, but - I might have dreamed that. We all might have dreamed everything that night. I'm sorry. It was a, a bad choice.

[She swallows slightly, and forges on:] What I mean is, perhaps we chose to do this and we don't remember. The way you don't remember dreams.

I do not have dreams. If I do have dreams, I don't remember them. How do you know you have dreams if you don't remember?

I have always remembered the things I have done.

[heavensreader]

You remember sometimes, or you remember parts. Some people don't remember at all, but... [she hesitates, but her curiosity overwhelms her.] All humans dream.

But some humans do not remember their dreams.

[A fair point, and she doesn't feel like pushing her luck. Not with Ecks.] Still, they have them. Was there nothing strange about last night? Didn't you notice anything at all?

I remember walking. I do not remember why. I do not remember clearly. But I remember walking.

[heavensreader]

See, I think maybe we really did walk. Except we don't know why now. Maybe the places we were in weren't safe. Or maybe - [her voice drops slightly.] Maybe we thought we could get away from here.

I remember being inside for lockdown. The doors were locked. We could not have walked if the doors did not open.
