I'll definitely wait for him to wake up.

[Honestly, Peggy is antsy about it. Everything is still all so...new, and now she's mad at this place for toying with them all. She's been known to make rash decisions, but there's nothing she can do until Steve is awake and talking to her. She sighs.]

It's starting to dawn on me that this place had a lot more going on than I first thought.

If you want- we could distract each other for a while telling tales or something, until he replies. Oh... You may want to check the house you're in for anything valuable, maybe?
[She IS going to look around before leaving the building she's in, after all.]

I know, this place is certainly... something. But we're surrounded by amazing people and we will find a way out, just... have faith!

Do you have any stories for me? Would love to hear one!

[Looking through things is definitely something Peggy will do, but until she's made contact with Steve, she's going to be too antsy to manage to do much. Better to try and distract herself. Rydia seems like a lovely companion to do that with.]

If you know Steve, I know plenty of embarrassing stories! [Peggy winks at the camera, grinning.]

Oh, I know plenty of sories! From romantic to adventurous, from tales with human protagonists to novels about creatures from other worlds! Just pick a genre and I will ty my best to amuse you!
...
Or I could gossip about the other residents but... I'm afraid I'm one of the less informed here, I'm not really comfortable with this network system. In my world we use flowers and birds to communicate on long distances, certainly not this moonspawn.

Anyway, I've traveled with Steve for weeks, we've been hoboes together engaging in pleasant acivities like corpse digging a- wait...

[ She chuckles and finally manages to turn on the video, greeting peggy with her untamed green mane (because when was the last time her curly hair met a proper hairbrush?), her dirty face and her messy, freen clothes]

Are you... from Steve's home?

[Peggy laughs, delighted. This is the best distraction she could hope for.] You use flowers and birds to communicate? Tell me about that, it sounds wonderful.

[It's something she can hardly imagine, a world like that. She's so used to the grey and the mud and the rain, furious technology wars. Birds and flowers, how nice would it be.

Rydia mentions corpse-digging, and Peggy frowns, wondering exactly what they got up to, together. She'd have to ask Steve. In the meantime, Rydia switches to video, looking like a dream with green hair. She's obviously messy, but still obviously beautiful. Peggy spends a millisecond wondering if she and Steve were more than friends. Now is not the time, Peg.]

Corpse digging sounds unpleasant. I am not sure I want to know why you had to do it! Are you and Steve friendly, then?

I am from Steve's home. Well - we are from different parts of the same world, and met through...a series of incredible circumstances, I guess would be the best way to put it.

That's hardly a tale of sorty, just how things work in my world, but if the idea of covering long distances with birds and fowers amuses you who am I to chance topic?

So, We have pidgeons and chocobos, small and big birs, both can be trained to carry mail in specfic locations and return. Pidgeons are... little, grey, not so cue and extremely loud, I'm not too fond of them. You let them carry small letters or small packages tied to their little paws and they're probably the quickest way to send yur mail.
Chocobos are... larger and usually yellow. They can carry people and larger packages and there are few black ones that can even fly... but they're getting rarer and rarer so they're generally kept safe and bread.
And then the flowers! Whisperweeds! his is the simplest way ever, even if it's restricted to some royal families! You just have to tell the flower who you want to contact and it allows you to communicate like we're doing. And they're powerful enough they almost reach out planet's moon with their signal. As you can imagine this kind of technology isn't really my good old quill and paper...

[The only technology they have is alien stuff that caused more problems than anything, they'd rather stick with magic for the time being.

And that wasn't probably a thing worth mentioning but, hey, you get used to awful stuff after a while. And- no, Peggy, no, jealosy isn't needed with a person like Rydia, she's old enough to be Steve's mother and She's completely uninterested in both males and females, she'd never try to steal the Cap from you. Quite the contrary, actually. And last time Rydia saw herself in a mirror she was a mess, you sure you don't need
]

Oh my, I don't know if I should be happy you're here now because that means you're going to endure such a horrible place too but... last time I heard Steve he sounded so lonely... I sinceredly hope you'll reunite soon, Peggy.
And... I don't think coming from different sides of a planet should be a problem if the bond is strong.

... is he still captain courage back home?

No, Rydia, this is fascinating to me. We used to have carrier pigeons too - actually they've been used until recently, in the war. But flowers? That is just truly amazing.

[Peggy sighs, imagining a world where you can communicate via flowers.

And then Rydia says that Steve was lonely, and Peggy's heart and stomach clench. She hates the fact that Steve's been alone here, been alone in that new life of his, in the future. She hates it; she wants for them to have a life together, but she keeps on feeling like they're on borrowed time, in Norfinbury. That things will go back to what they were, once they leave. It almost makes her want to stay.]

Thank you - I'm sure we will. I can only hope he's not very far; we were lucky when I arrived here, we were less than a day's travel away from each other. And - [Peggy smiles, blushes.] I'm pretty sure our bond is plenty strong. [Stronger than ever, now.]

At home, he's known as Captain America to the world. I prefer to call him Steve, though.

See? you have bird messengers too!

[She frowns as the mention of a War but says nothing about it: her world almost went boom twice but that's still a topic she'd rather avoid, especially considering she's trying to distract Peggy]

Honestly? I find your world more fascianting: we have access to magic, that's true, but once you learn how to bend elements to your will it's easier... I've seen medicines here you ingest, We can cure poison with a snap of fingers or illnesses exposing someone to the light of a sand pearl...
We are using what the Crystals and the world offer us, people from worlds like yours and Steve... you create what we can obtain with the power of your minds and nothing else. THAT is fascinating and always reminds me how resourceful humans can be.

[If she knew she'd probably just tell her that we're all on borrowed time, even if some people like her don't seem to age or change, because there's an end for all. It's a miracle you met each other? Afraid you may have to say goodbye? Enjoy your time if you can, in snowhell together as long as it lasts, worry only when the problem actually hits you.]

The city isn't too big, don't worry, you'll meet each other soon and- [Oh, man, if she already thought steve reminded her of Cecil that smile reminds of how Rosa used to talk with him. Have a summoner looking at you with a seemingly innocent smile.] Oh, really?

Captain America, uh? Steve sounds better...

[Peggy sighs.] I guess, we create a lot of things, amazing things - [Like the super serum] - but we also create destructive things, and it's all so unpredictable. It's so easy for us to lose control of the things we create.

[Rydia's question makes Peggy look away, embarrassed.] We - we're close.

Steve does sound better. I met him before he became Captain America, so he stuck as Steve, for me.

You see, the whole beauty of creating destructive things is that they're just tools. Humans aren't the only creatures who create destructive things, or the only ones who use magic to hurt others... [she looks away from the camera with a bitter smile on her face.] but humans are resourceful, different... but those are sad talks, not appropriate for the moment.

[Now THAT could be something funnier to talk about.]

There's close and close, my girl.

And, I agree. Probably because the title America means nothing to me-

[Peggy jumps on the opportunity to talk about anything else than war and destruction, even if the other topic of conversation is just simply embarrassing.]

What's the difference?

[Play dumb. Just play dumb, Peg.]
