I don't know where you've been getting your information, but Japan is far from dead. I've been living there since the 50s, and it's just as alive as ever.

This place, it messes with time. It pulls people in from all different times. So when I said I had been in Japan since the 50s, I meant the 1950s. It's currently 2009 there, as far as I know.

I dunno what was wrong with Japan in your time, but everything is different in my time. There's over a hundred-million people living there now, throughout the whole country.
