I don't know if it's relevant to us, but...I found a book full of pictures. Give me a moment...

[There's a shifting and the sound of a backpack's zipper and then the video feed is on, showing a photo album open to a page containing photographs of a large town hall.]

These are the only pictures in this book that didn't feature the woman - I assume the traveler that lived here, and the only one not featuring ruins of some sort. Since she didn't feel the need to say "I was here", I think this building must be here somewhere.

[She liked to travel...since he sees so few personal belongings he can only hope she had a means to escape whatever happened to this place.]

[A soft intake of breath is the only reply for a moment, as Al studies the screen intently. He doesn't know who this woman is, or recognise any of the locations, but it must be somehow relevant.]

Um, hold on a moment, I think I remember this thing telling me I could make notes and save images and things.

[He's trying to figure out if he can get a copy of those pictures through the network somehow.]

In this house I woke in. I haven't been able to find anything else like this among her belongings.

[He thinks for a moment.] If this is like a phone it should be able to save images, yes. The ones its camera sees. I wonder if it is possible for it to store what it's showing you, though...

[Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on the situation), he has an irregular knowledge of communication technology, thanks to his time-traveling friend.]

Really? I haven't seen anything like this before, the phones where I'm from are large and connected by a wired network.

[He fiddles around a bit more before he manages to snap a picture of his own screen and save it.]

I only know of it because my friend owns a phone. It's like this, but much smaller.

[He waits as Al messes with his device, holding his own tablet steady so he can get a clear picture, until he says he has it.]

You do? Is there somewhere you can check to see if it's stored?

[He's sure he saw a place for pictures when he was looking through all the menus and things... He's tempted to look for himself, but he doesn't want to move the tablet in case he still needs to get that picture.]

[He fiddles around for a little bit, watching the help option tell him where to look for his stored notes and photographs. Eventually he finds what he's looking for, though poor Enoch has probably had to sit through at least a full minute of scrabbling and 'hm' noises.]

I think she must have been the owner of this house. I can't say for certain whether or not she was of any importance in the town, but...she was certainly interested in whatever was happening here.

...But from a distance, not involved. I wonder what it was.

I'm not sure, but from the pictures it looks like it didn't happen all at once, it was gradual.

If that's the case, I wonder why so many of the houses look hastily abandoned.

I'm sure the building pictured here might have answers. The people gathered wouldn't have done so otherwise. They were looking for a response, themselves...answers, too, perhaps?

[He looks closer at the picture, but there's no clue as to where to find this building here.]

That's what I think, since it doesn't fit the other pictures here.

I only wish there were more clues to finding it than what we have here.

I know it's not the most ideal plan, but... I think that's all we have right now. There are a lot of us out here, so don't be too disheartened, I bet we'll find it before you know it.
