[His words are small and quiet. He's so confused, unable to tell if Greed is somehow in earnest, in denial, or simply being cruel.]

[That confuses him, makes Greed pause.]

What are you talking about? I spoke with her and you maybe three minutes before I showed up here.

[That was, quite literally, months and months ago.]

I don't understand, this doesn't make sense?!

[Greed pauses. Whatever's going on, he's not sure if he should ask or not. It seems like it might be a bad idea to ask, especially when he doesn't see anyone else with him in the house.]

Wish I could tell ya. Seems like we've got something of a mystery going on here.

Greed...

[He really isn't messing around, is he? Al falls silent for a moment, or as silent as he can be when his armour is still clanking with his trembles. He has to tell him, he-- How can he tell him?

He might have shied away from it, but he remembers how it had been with Hughes. Mustang not telling them, lying, had only made it worse in the end and hadn't shielded them from the pain. Sometimes harsh truths just had to be spoken, but that doesn't stop his voice dripping sympathy.]

[Greed is silent for a very, very long time. The only noise to indicate he hasn't accidentally disconnected is a quiet, shaky breath.]

What... what are you talking about? I left her in the woods, with you! I told her to stay put!

[His voice raises, angry, desperate. He doesn't know what to do; he feels helpless, lost, out of control in a way he didn't know was possible.]

I didn't take her with me because I wanted her to live.

[He feels so sorry for him in this moment. Maybe Greed is a homunculus, but he's proven more than once that he's not evil and he truly does care about some others.

He hates his body in this moment that he can't cry as Greed is doing, the only indication that he wants to is a wobble to his voice.]

[That gets him to stop crying, though his voice is still shaking slightly.]

[There's recognition in his voice, and barely hidden contempt.]

[Although he can only piece that together looking back at things, now that he knows Bradley's true identity as Wrath.]

[This is weird, this is really weird. Pride is Dante's favorite; he'd make himself obvious, especially to Greed.]

[No, he realises he just assumed based on what happened when he was out cold and Greed's eventual fate.]

What are you talking about? Kimbley betrayed us, lead the military into the Nest--

Bradley wasn't there with Kimbley; it was some pale man.

[None of this makes any sense, has Greed lost his memory of what happened there?]

[Maybe Al hadn't gotten a good enough look at him?]

Of course he was there. I took him with me after he broke himself out of prison.

[There's a long silence as Al tries to piece this together, but it just doesn't make sense no matter which way he looks at it. He knows Kimblee wasn't there, and he knows it was Bradley that ended up fighting Greed.]

[Greed isn't sure what to make of this situation. He doesn't even know where Al is right now, so he can't go looking for the kid.]

[He's not about to confess what his plan in the woods had been, though.]

[He sighs. He believes Greed, where others might not have done, but it doesn't help solve the puzzle.]

I know it sounds crazy, but... it almost seems like we've been pulled through time as well as to a different place.

[Greed doesn't sound disbelieving.]

I was pulled into a town covered in snow.I guess that means I've been pulled through time once already. I guess it'd make sense if we were pulled from separate points.

[It's still just a theory, so Al isn't fully subscribing to it yet.]

I guess we should look around more, then we might find some evidence to help us find out for sure.
