Your experience is not so dissimilar to my own.

[ What that means, Fenris cannot say, save that here is possibly an ally. One he may not completely understand, but he doesn't have to know what this tablet nonsense is. They have something more important in common, and nothing gets Fenris on someone's side faster than fighting off kidnappers and slavers. ]

That information is not terribly helpful. I too am in a house. With a room devoted to a machine for making clothes. [ There's a note of doubtfulness in his voice, like he distrusts both the thing and the veracity of the claim. ] Have you been outside yet? Have you seen anything other than snow?

... So, at any other time, I'd be happy to trade stories of how much we hate people who kidnap others, but maybe we can leave that particular story time to the backburner for now. At least until we figure out where we are, because your description isn't particularly helpful, either.

Nope, still not telling him anything.] And yes and no, I've been outside and so far, there's nothing but snow and some rubble, like there's been houses but they're not there anymore. I'm gonna look around here once more, and then go explore... If you're in a house, and some others on the network are in houses, then there's gonna be a lot more of them.

[ Trading stories about how much he hates slavers is one of Fenris' favorite things to do. But Chillinski has a point. Now is not the time. He makes a quiet noise of assent, willing to focus on the more immediate matter of their location. ]

In my experience, houses are clustered together in a specific area. There are not many who choose to live removed from others. It isn't safe. The number of voices I've heard on this thing suggest there are many others around us. Perhaps there was a war here that destroyed much of the town and that is why there's so much rubble.
