[ Yeah, it's not going past him just how evasive that answer is. Haku is king of the evasive answers, of course he's going to notice.

Not that it means he'll press right away, but it means it's going somewhere in his notes all the same. Haku never forgets, Lancer. ]

[ Look, Haku might not have a lot of experience with social situations, but his personal reading made up for it.. so this is at least stuff he does know about. If not just from fiction. ]

I guess I'm supposed to start feeling boring now. [ Even if he's a super spy trained from back when he was a kid, but.. you know. No awkward YER A SPY conversations here either. ]

[ Sorry, Haku takes his bedtime stories very seriously. Or, well, took them seriously and it sort of stuck over the years. He has a very rigid imagination of what these things are supposed to look like. ]

Although if those types and magicians are here, who knows what's even going on. [ That may or may not be subtle shade towards the fact that Lancer just avoided that whole magic question just now.

Even if it sounds fairly blank, just like the rest of his words. ]

Who knows. Things usually don't make sense when magic is involved. But...elves. When I think of elves I think of something closer to... [... ... ...what's some sort of cross-cultural Earthly element most people would've heard of...] ...Santa? You know who he is?

Yeah. [ Even if Haku had found out rather quickly that he wasn't real - it wasn't as if the illusion could have been kept alive while he never got presents for Christmas, after all. ]

.. maybe that's where we ended up then.

[ Not that it doesn't mean he can't still use it to fool around in his own aloof way.. because the Christmases of his youth sure are something he does not want to think about, if at all possible. ]
