[network] @ADMIN; Obituary and Announcement [Day 050]

We mourn the loss of those who have died in the time between the last announcement and this one:

Zelda
Lynne

In addition, we have adjusted the behavior of wandering anomalies. We will continue to adjust until parameters are met.

@admin, please define parameters for wandering anomalies.

[Hey, it's worth a shot.]

The wandering anomalies are either the monsters or us, correct? I know you're an AI, and if you'd tell us your directives then maybe we could help you.

Oh and if you could send username guardian a new tablet, I-- she would be really grateful. Hers got stolen.

It would help if you just got rid of those damn things attacking us.

Man, I have a bad feeling about this.
The creatures are probably normal here.
With the houses being made of metal
You know, the same metal you threw at one and landed an actual hit.

silverfuller: (De ni mi ma chaill mi 'n t-each)

[personal profile] silverfuller 2015-10-26 06:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[Well, the creatures being normal... He hadn't considered that. They are so blasphemous to simply look at he figured they couldn't possibly be natural entities.]

but if these 'anomalies' are not the monsters then what?

weather patterns?

us?
swatsflies: Colored by <user name="quickmartial"> (I got tossed from adult league soccer)

[personal profile] swatsflies 2015-10-26 06:52 pm (UTC)(link)
The fog and cold should be normal with all the snow and that wall.
It's probably us.
Which doesn't sound good for us. Not at all.

silverfuller: (De ni mi ma chaill mi 'n t-each)

[personal profile] silverfuller 2015-10-26 06:56 pm (UTC)(link)
no

but

something bothers me in this,.

If we are the anomalies then they did not mean to bring us here.

so why provide us with food and these 'tablets'? why do aught at all/?
swatsflies: <user name="peachhoney" site ="livejournal.com"> (orly?)

[personal profile] swatsflies 2015-10-26 07:01 pm (UTC)(link)
What if they aren't the ones who brought us here?
Man, that's a creepy thought. That there are more than just the admin pulling stuff.
The other possibility is we're the side effects of whatever the hell happened here.
Like they can't stop people from appearing here so they are making the most of our appearance.

what could have caused trouble here and called us forth at the same time?

Something wrong with the aether?

[Haurchefant's always been more interested in solutions to problems than causes of problems. It's hard for him to imagine what must have happened here, though he is trying.]
swatsflies: <user name="peachhoney" site ="livejournal.com"> (I probably bonked my head)

Aether?

Well, whatever it was, knocked a bunch of houses down.
Or maybe those have been knocked down for a lot longer.
We just have to keep searching whatever it is.

Yeah, he could do something like this.
But, I don't think there would be houses remaining if it was him.

he left hoses behnd during the Calamity. In my land came the snow after

and then

the aetherytes

did not work. The aether was wrong in some way. Teleporting was unpredictable. I hear linkshells no longer operated properly.

b

but I doubt it was truly the wyrm of course. Just thinking about it the similarities are there.

i only wish i knew more about aether, then maybe I could help more in this mystery if aether is indeed the culprit.

[The idea that this planet might not have aether does not occur to him. How could a world NOT have aether?]

What is Aether?

[personal profile] silverfuller 2015-10-26 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
i don't know. Magic was likely difficult but i am not a mage.

you do not know what aether is?

it is the energy of the planet

A couple of friends, Zack and Kain, call it Mako in their world.
We don't have a name for it where I'm from.
We just have places where magic escapes from the ground known as Draw Points.

What reason is there to suppose that the monsters are normal? The theory that I was aware of is that they have been disruptive to @admin before.
swatsflies: <user name="peachhoney" site ="livejournal.com"> (thoughtful if that is possible)

@zd; text

[personal profile] swatsflies 2015-10-26 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
They are disruptive where I'm from but they are normal. You run across them any time you set foot outside of most towns.
For here though, it's the houses.
They are made of metal.
I could understand if it was just the frames made of metal, but it doesn't stop there.
The walls are made of it. The doors. Even up in the attics of some houses.
They are built to keep something in or out. Probably both.

This is not where you are from, but it's an interesting point. Still, from what we know of this town before whatever took place here, the monsters don't seem to, shall we say fit in.

If anything, it seems more likely that they were part of the cataclysm that took place here.

Unless they were in control then.
Like locked up some where.
Wasn't there something about protests and not needing babysitters?
It could be that people had curfews because the monsters only came out at night or something.
There is also the beacon thing people were talking about.
Why is there something that attracts monsters?

[Though...who would want to attract monsters in the first place was also a crazy line of thought. Because if it could be remotely activated...
Yeesh.]
