[All of the rooms within the Bunker have been opened. The latest, Room 19, contains computer parts. They'll need to use those, the soldering gun and other equipment in that room to create some sort of interface with the last locked door in Room 4. There are cables to connect up to the tablets, so maybe that will help, as well. And they still have other computers in Room 24 and 26 to use.

There are other things to be about, as well. The Bunker is, as ever, cold, slightly glowing, and moldy. And there are plenty of other rooms to check in on.]

[ When Angel and Rhys get the door unlocked, they run straight for it without even thinking to alert anyone. Progress is exciting! As is getting out of bunkers without having to, like, die. Seriously. Always a plus.

Unfortunately, the opened door doesn't offer freedom. Or hope. Or much of anything, actually, and after a quick back-and-forth between rooms Angel races back to the newly-opened one.

The trip is a lot noisier than it was the first time. Mostly because Angel is yelling in a very un-Angelly kind of way. ]

Son of a BITCH!

[ She's attacking the sealed door with a forearm-sized shard of glass. The glass doesn't break, so it's obviously made of Weird Strong-ass Norfinbury Alloy Bullshit, but it doesn't damage the door either. Not that that stops her from continuing to try and carve or pry her way through, even as the glass starts cutting into her hands. ]

Let us in!!

[ She can either be interrupted mid-tantrum or found off in the room with the bunk beds later, quiet and curled up and nursing her damaged hands. RIP, Angel's poker face. IT HAD A GOOD RUN. ]

[House had vaguely heard the shouting, but he'd been preoccupied with his own things. The door being open had caught his attention, but the mold had already felt like it was clogging his lungs, so he'd limped along to the bunk bed room. He'd see about it after taking a break.

Finding Angel in the room, curled up, but not asleep, has him raising his brows. He sits down on a bed next to hers.]

Taking it we've got another bullshit run we need to make for another keycard.

[phaseshifter]

No.

[ She just sounds... dull. Not in the usual "ooh I'm Angel and I'm packing away my emotions like I always do when things go badly" kind of way - it's a deeper level of deadness. ]

The computer says the electronics have been removed. By the town for scrap, maybe, or by Miller when he was here. It's just closed. Permanently.

[ She doesn't look up or even move at all. Why bother? ]

[House is silent for a long moment, letting that news wash over him. He's mostly... annoyed? They went through all that trouble, all this crap, and they get a permanently locked door? No. No, that's bull. He's not accepting that for an answer. It's not in him to accept that they'll just never have the answers on the other side of that damn door.]

Huh... and you think that's the only way through? That program unlocks doors, right? Pretty sure there's more than one around here.

There's Squalo's baby. The coffin door. Dunno if the program could be transferred off the computer and taken out there, or if there's annything there to plug a tablet into anyway, but if someone feels like wasting their time going all the way out there to find out they can be my guest.

[ Bitter? WHO'S BITTER?? ]

[House feeds on bitterness and spite. He's aware that the majority of people here aren't so motivated. The doctor is quiet as he pulls off his pack and lays back on the bed, looking up the one above in the dim lighting that's available in fits and bursts.

Maybe some good old-fashioned antagonism will kick-start Angel's need to prove him wrong.]

I told everyone from the start we weren't getting out of here. How's it feel being wrong about the Admin? Some help she's been.

I think she's dead.

[ SORRY, DOC. ONLY GLOOM HERE. ]

Or disconnected. Both, I suppose, depending on what exactly she is. I've been trying to talk to her for weeks now, and if I get anything back it's just. It's static.

Maybe she gave too much power supply over to us? Or Miller did something? Iunno. If she is dead, I can't even play battery for her any more.

You could play battery for Becky's little Norfinbury monster. If he still thinks that's a thing.

[Maybe if he picks on Beckett?]

Beckett doesn't want me being a battery, dude. Um, neither of them.

[ She finally looks up, at least, even if she still doesn't seem very engaged. Yay? ]

And the monster's name is Chester. Rhys met it first, so he has dibs on naming it. Iunno if it'd need a battery for anything, either? Unless - unless it has a giant freaking Zune down there.

Chester is a lame name. I'm calling it Ironfist. It tastes and feels like metal when you bite it.

Like metal? Not like calamari? Huh.

[ Yeah, she's just going to casually accept that if anyone knows how Chester tastes, it's probably House. No, definitely House. No other potential Chester-chomping candidate comes close. Sure, Beckett would maybe bite it if it was somehow necessary, but she has the distinct feeling that House would slurp down on some eldritch-ass tentacles both to sate his own curiosity and so he could weird people out by saying that he did it. Like. She's 99% sure about this.

Oh, and also because he's a weirdo old man pervert. That too. ]

There go our hopes of it being a viable replacement food source, I suppose. Also "Ironfist" is a stupid name for something that presumably doesn't have fists.

It has, like, a thousand fists. And eyes. Probably more eyes than fists.

[It was a while ago and it was in a traumatizing dream. He can't remember it that clearly.]

Well, the eyes are hardly surprising considering the cult iconography. I always figured it was whatever was in, um - the pit? But all I remember of that is teeth, not eyes or... fists.

[ For the record, she's imagining Ultros but with boxing gloves on the end of every tentacle and it's fucking beautiful.

I'm bored, and you're the only person in the room. You're more interesting to talk to when you're perky.

You know other rooms are available, right? Many of them containing perkier people?

[ Grumble, grumble. Stupid House and his stupid everything. She's at least motivated to drag herself into a seated position now, though, because looking pathetic enough that House feels the need to perk her up is completely unacceptable. ]

You could probably even get a party going.

Mmhmm. Well, be the change you want to see, right? Have you considered becoming a hooker yourself?

I'm referring to your missing hand, of course. You could replace it with a hook. It'd suit you.

[Angel... Well, at least this is properly getting her engaged. He should have known to needle at the romance crap first.]

I'm not being -- I mean I am denying it, yes, because he's not my boyfriend. It's not a thing! So of course I'm denying it, because that's what you do when people make accusations that aren't true.
