[Ecks glances offscreen, like she's trying to remember something.]

Cable.

[She holds up what looks like a data cable meant for plugging into a tablet. One end terminates in an intact plug; the other end shows ragged ends of bare wires that look like they were cut with a saw.]

It is from the room with many computers. It was from the wall. It did not react when we plugged the tablets into it so we cut it off of the wall and now we have it for using with a computer elsewhere.

Is it good?

because it needs to be able to connect at both ends
see the usb?
that's what'll connect up to a tablet
then we need another one like it that'll connect to a computer

it's how they downloaded the data for the galaxy key

[House sighs. He had been wanting to try out the heat suit idea with the mold, seeing if they can make it air-tight. If they could work on clearing mold without a breathing hazard, that might do something for their ability to check the floors in some of the rooms for trapdoors.

But he has to be obstinate for show, at least initially.]

I've got electrical tape and pliers. And a bunch of other things I'm leaving in the bunker, Room 24.

The tape should be enough to fix up two ends of a cable so they work, if we're careful. It'd be best if we have some of the cord's insulation, though.

any chance you're leaving toward the chapel
to pick up the other half of the cord from everyone's favorite galaxy girl?

Nope. It's the first one, but I've got something to take care of first at the high school.

If no one's gotten to it by the time I'm heading back, we'll stop by there and cut it off.

Nothing you'd be interested in. Should be about five days or so before I can head to the chapel. So if anyone's twiddling their thumbs at the bunker, they'd be a better choice for this.
