[Roland doesn't doubt that this person's message could come from grief, but it's irritating to be scolded for stating the facts. Still, he's not one to take away a person's hope.]

House didn't need someone to agree with him. He needed to rail for a bit, get it all out in the open so he could shove aside his emotional responses -Quark- and then focus in on the information available.

Also, Will had learned his lesson about being sensitive in House's general direction. He'd weather the sharp edge of his friend's temper. ]

Or maybe there is something about this area that is causing it to be more difficult than previous experience.

Maybe we're getting closer and the stakes are rising. This could be why previous attempts from other groups have failed?

Previous groups had a max 5 or 6 people. [Based on what those data ghosts said during the last seance...] That's probably why they failed. The mold's the only thing different, and if those idiots had half a brain, they'd take a cue from the angels and limit what they're doing. There're enough of them in there. They don't need to take the risk until they've explored the less risky areas and come up dry.

[It's hypocritical to say this, House knows. He's advocated for the opposite, he's jumped into the life-threatening situations, himself, but Quark... It's different.]

Memories of Ecks and the photograph they'd needed came to mind.

But he was here to play devil's advocate, not nod his head and go 'yep'. ]

We're all anxious, House. We're all feeling the way time is running out and that is going to cause some people to be precipitous in their actions. Getting frustrated with them after the fact adds no value to the experiments.

He doesn't want to chase them off- he needs information, and nobody wants to be lectured by a complete stranger in their grief- but his expression is hard.]

Now, Roland doesn't make a habit of snooping on people- if he wanted to be respected as a leader, he preferred to meet people personally, and not be exposed to them by watching their conversations like some paranoid tyrant- but between the name and his conversation with Quark, and this 'bunker' nonsense that's been going on, he's able to put enough together. ]

You're Junpei, then? I am under the impression that Quark is staying with his grandfather. Is that you?

[The texts certainly didn't come off like they were from someone older than him (for more reasons than one), but people could be surprising.]
