Good, I know you can do it.

[His voice is warm and encouraging, but he barely waits until she's put her hand into his before he'll pulling with all the strength this body has, aiming to yank her right through the wall that's not even there.]

WAITSHITNO--

[Hey, Al? She really wasn't ready. Tess goes through the wall, but even if he doesn't feel any resistance, she does. She comes through heavily bruised, nose bleeding--but eyes open and staring at the big, open room suddenly before her.]

Oh--oh ffffuu---

[He doesn't let her go when they're out, but he does loosen his grip to something more designed to support her than restrain her.]

I'm sorry, I didn't know it would hurt you. Are you-- does it hurt badly?

[motherserpent]

--ow--!

[Tess lifts a shaking hand to touch her nose, jerking it away the moment she makes contact. That feels broken, maybe? She draws in several deep, shaking breaths, but nods even as she's swallowing blood.]

'M okay. I'm okay. It was like--it was like the wall was--it was right there, I just--like I hit it--

I didn't know that would happen, maybe-- maybe it was something put there to stop everyone from finding out the truth?

[Either way, hopefully she can see the empty room as it is now.]

Can you see the exit? Over there, look.

[motherserpent]

...Oh sweet Jesus.

[That's probably answer enough to his question, given that Tess immediately starts staggering in that direction. Fuck this place. Fuck it so hard, she is so ready to leave.]

Hey--

[He half reaches out as if to stop her, before deciding against it. She deserves to go for freedom as soon as she can, but he's staying behind to make sure nobody is left here when they leave.]

[Normally she'd turn back and make sure he got out, too. She's so desperate right now, though, that it doesn't even occur to her--if she weren't hurt she'd be bolting for the door. As it is she just puts up a respectable shamble.
